Re: would you buy a new speedball?

I also like the original Speedball more than Speedball II. I just got far too messy, with all the bonus things round the side. It took the focus off scoring, and you just ended up doing loops and hitting stars. I also liked the music on the original much more.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Yeah, the price is annoying. I might get one after Easter if they are being sold at a sensible price.

Some that me and my Brother made earlier...

MUCH earlier.

Probably early '80s.

Mine's the helicopter.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I've just been watching the news about the attack, and apart from the obvious, the thing that really annoyed me was the idiotic video that they showed by some person who obviously has some sort of mental problem and had their phone the wrong way up. I couldn't even look at the screen, as it was so a...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Depeche Mode - Spirit. New Album. Had a quick listen to the start of each track last night and didn't think much of it. Given it a proper listen to this morning and actually really like it! I do wish they would do the occasional old DM eighties style track though. I listened to it a few days ago an...

Re: Weird Atari on Ebay

Yep, it certainly looks like a 5.25" drive bay at the front. The top one has a blanking plate, and the area under that would be where the drives would go. Adaptec was mentioned on one of the pics, which is a storage company.

I've just joined.

I came 3rd last year, so I'm hoping to get on the podium again.

Re: The return of Robot Wars

Well, the second season started last week. Just saw the 2nd episode which I thought was pretty good. Yeah last night's was good, but I was totally confused about how Cherub beat the spinner one when it doesn't have a weapon, and was destroyed. Okay, the spinned killed itself, but that was after alr...

Re: RIP <Insert celebrity>

Sir John Surtees - former F1 World Champion - and he also did it on two wheels(for you biker boys out there). RIP Sir John. He SHOULD be Sir John, and it's a disgrace that he wasn't knighted, when other similar (and not as successful) people were, but sadly he wasn't. The only person to win on two ...

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Yep, it's possibly my favourite show, too :-)

I've just been reading web pages about it, doing a quiz, and reading SMG's message to fans. It's also the cover story in SFX magazine this month, which I get.

It's one of the few series' that I've bought on disc (Angel being another).

I actually thought Matt was worse than Chris last time. I'd have rather they'd both left. A plank of wood would be better than Matt.

The Commodore Story documentary (Kickstarter)

It's about £1,000 from being funded at the moment. The Commodore Story is a cram packed 2 hour documentary film that will take us through Commodore's evolution from the 70's to the 90's from the PET, Vic20, C64 to the Amiga and beyond including the very rare C65 and the wave of new Commodore related...
