Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Assassin's Creed. Not impressed. A lot wasn't explained and didn't make much sense.

Re: Twin Peaks returns on 22nd May

I've just watched the first two. I think it's safe to say that David Lynch is alive and well! It was as bonkers as ever. I liked it. You can tell it's been a few years since it was last on. People look a bit different now.

Great read :D
It is! I'm really close to the end. I'm struggling to put it down.

Re: If you had your time again

No. I chose the perfect machines: VCS, Vic-20, C64, A500, A1200, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and later bought a Spectrum as I'd not owned one, though I played on one quite a bit at a friends. I would change giving all my C64 games away when I sold my original one, as I'd love to have my disk version of Littl...

Ready Player One. I'm just over half way through it, and I'm really liking it.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the film.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Alien: Covenant. I thought it was quite good. Better than I expected, and much better than Prometheus. There were a few scenes that went on a bit long and a few questionable decisions and events here and there, but there were some really good sequences, too.

Re: Internet/broadband problem

That's weird! A complete stab in the dark here, but you could try doing a full scan of your PC for viruses and Malware. Maybe it's been infected by something that runs at those times. 'Bleeping Computer' has links to RKill and MalwareBytes. I've used those (in that order) several times at work to ge...

Re: Forum software upgrade

If a thread has more than one page it shows up bigger than if it hasn't, and makes the whole thing look horribly inconsistent. It only does it when looking at new posts, not when looking at a separate forum. If you don't know what I mean, I can post a pic.

Re: Forum software upgrade

I have two problems with the new forum: The biggest one is that the theme I have used since the beginning has gone. I've tried the one that looked like this one a few times, but I didn't like it, so I always went back to 'Bl@ck', even though someone broke it years ago and the logo vanished, the seve...

Re: So does anyone here hook up retro systems to modern TV's

I use Scart and composite for mine, so haven't tried a HDMI converter, though I was looking at some on eBay and Maplin a few weeks ago. I think there was a thread here that linked to a video review of one.

Yeah, I really liked Twin Peaks, and there was a game called Deadly Premonition, which I liked, which was like being in Twin Peaks.

Re: Best demos for 8/16 bit systems

I've just seen this:

http://kotaku.com/programmed-demo-revea ... 1794561961

It won 1st place in the 4K category. Incredibly, it's done in 256 bytes, which is the same length as this post. I'll have to run this on my C64 :-)

Re: Anyone added external drive to PS4

Well the ps4 pro has three usb ports. I also have a spare external HDD sat here doing nothing so i may as well use it. It's not like it's any problem to just leave it behind the tv is it? :? Three ports, that's better. I didn't know they'd done that on the new one. I have a keyboard and the control...

'High Score' - Classic FM Game Music Show

It starts tonight (21:00 - 22:00): http://www.classicfm.com/radio/shows-presenters/high-score/ I'm not sure it's for me, as I expect a lot of very modern Japanese composed music, like they play on their other shows. It all just sounds like film music. Modern game music just isn't memorable to me. I ...
