Re: What grinds your gears ?
Being told I have to carry around a bulky walkie-talkie all the time that doesn't shut up shouting all day, just because someone can't be bothered to call me on my phone if they need me urgently and I'm not at my desk (which happens about once a month). So I have to put up with this constant annoyan...

Re: If You Could Choose One System
Depending on the years it would be the C64 or from '87 it would be the Amiga.

Re: Issue 168 PET feature - DVD extras
Thanks for the extras, and the article. Like Jason, I also want a 4032. I didn't realise there was a GameBase for the PET. I've tried it and I don't like the orange screenshots. I've never seen a PET with an orange screen, so it looks weird. We had about 7 or 8 at school with about 4 different mode...

Re: Discuss - 169
The best normal joystick I've ever used is the Zipstick. I have two that I still use all the time for retro gaming (Spectrum, Vic-20, C64, Amiga, or emulation). For MAME I built some arcade controls (joystick and several buttons), and for modern gaming (i.e. any Playstation model) it's the PS contro...

Re: Retro Gamer 168
Great issue! Nebulus, Imagine, Alien Breed, the PET (at last!), Half Life 2, and Mark Cerney were all highlights.

Snowdon. Before I watched it I'd unplug my PS3 camera from my PC when it wasn't being used and close the lid or aim the camera down when using the laptop (as I only really use it to watch films on my big TV). Now I've watched it I'm glad I do that!

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?
Passengers. A Science Fiction film where a ship is sent to a new planet to colonise it, but things don't go quite to plan on the way there. I liked it quite a bit. Some dodgy science here and there, but if you like SF without monsters and laser guns then you should like this one.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?
Hacksaw Ridge. A good reminder that war isn't nice. Graphic, and a religious theme is part of the story, but I liked it.

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread
It was disappointing the Alonso's engine blew, and Max lost the lead, but was good to see him get 4th. And what was going on at the end!? The winner gets out the can and they get some girl to kiss him, then give him a bottle of milk  No podium, no trophies. The American commentator said "He's w...

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread
We only get about one advert for every three or four they get, so it's not so bad for us. Oh, another crash. I've lost count. And can I just say "COME ON MAX!!!!"

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread
I'm also watching the Indy. It's the first time I've ever seen it and nice to see a few familiar names, and some women drivers. Lots of crashes to far, but the worst thing by FAR is the horrendous US TV feed we are being subjected to. They have adverts every 3 minutes, daft dramatic music playing, c...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?
Doctor Strange. I didn't know what to expect, and I ended up really liking it.
I'm not into comic book films, but this was much more my thing than something like Avengers Assemble.

Deepwater Horizon. Very good.
