Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Thanks, guys. Yeah, I just don't have room for more game cases these days. Plus, discs/carts are pretty much a waste of time now when there's probably more data contained in the cumulated updates and DLC post-release. So I don't really care about "collecting" anymore when the retail boxes have nothi...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

What's the storage like on a Switch Lite? Tempted to go full digital myself if I get one but I don't want a PS4 situation where it fills up super-quick and you have to keep deleting stuff.

Re: What are you currently playing?

New Soulcalibur VI DLC.

Samurai Shodown's Haohmaru + a new stage have been added which is sweet. You also get Nakoruru's outfit bits for the customisation mode.

Reminds me that I really want to get the Samurai Shodown game on PS4 as it looks bloody awesome.

Re: Sega 60th thing

The thing is, a Saturn mini COULD have a killer line-up of (mostly) non re-released games that would make it a must-buy: Sega Rally Daytona USA Fighters Megamix Last Bronx Shinobi X Panzer Dragoon Saga Burning Rangers NiGHTS Virtua Fighter 2 Shining Force III I didn't bother adding the Virtua Cop ga...

Re: Saturn mini coming?

I'd be surprised. Let's face it. Sega keep rehashing their Mega Drive games over and over because that's the only time they were a really big deal. Machines like the Saturn, Master System and Dreamcast only ever hit the mark for a niche audience, and simply don't hold the same nostalgia value for m...

Re: Saturn mini coming?

I would buy one if the games were right. I sold my Saturn stuff ages ago but there's loads I used to enjoy on it and so many games I didn't get around to playing because they were either rare or stupidly expensive. Plus it's crap how the emu has never been perfected and nothing ever gets re-released...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Animal Crossing is finally out now, so I've taken the opportunity to pick up a Switch Lite. My sister did the same yesterday. Managed to grab a yellow one from Very.com and AC from GAME's website. Crazy how fast Switches are now selling due to people being stuck at home in isolation/off work. The p...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I got for $3 a Steelbook Tekken Tag 2 on the 360. I have Tekken Tag 2 for the Wii U, wish I had the time to actually play and learn it since the tag moves look really cool. I hammered it for an obscene time on the PS3 when it came out. Other than Tekken 2 (for nostalgia), it's easily the best ever....

Re: Coronavirus

Fair play, must be a pain in the arse dealing with idiot panic buyers at the moment. Believe me, it is bad. Constant arguing about who gets the toilet rolls and customers even getting aggressive in our place. Every time the phone rings, it's "have you got any toilet roll?" or "do you have any sanit...

Re: Coronavirus

Not overly concerned about the virus itself as I don't have any underlying health conditions. It's the shops shelves being rinsed daily by the panic-buyers that is doing my head in. Went down to the Tesco Extra earlier this morning and the bread had all sold out already. No tins or pasta or anything...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Hoping to pick up Wreckfest on PS4 soon but, in the meantime, I've dug out Destruction Derby Raw on the PS1. The physics are not great these days but you know what? It's still heaps of fun with some awesome rock/metal/industrial music. I especially love the main menu music that kicks off with "Can a...

Re: The Star Wars thread

I still haven't watched Rise. TLJ was so bad in my eyes that I simply cannot be bothered with the franchise anymore. The Luke force projection thing was terrible and really robbed us of the battle we thought we were about to see. Worse was that crap in space with the pink-haired bird. Run away, figh...

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours

^^^ Not all modern was bad. I really enjoyed the Ecclestone and Tennant stuff. Matt Smith...not so much, but mostly because I found some of the overarching plot stuff to do with Amy a bit hard to follow. Overall, it was still good though. Stopped watching when the Capaldi run began and, based on wha...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Once I service my PS2 (been disconnected for ages due a sticking disc tray and not reading CD games) I need to play God Hand again. What a game that was.

Just looking now - it's a £30-£40 game these days. Glad I got mine when it only went for between £10-£15.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Urban reign, both great and frustrating I really liked this game; it just takes a while to get used to how the game wants to be played. Found that it was more about countering/evading and following-up rather than playing it like a normal beat 'em up. The last few battles were absolutely brutal thou...
