Re: Early Capcom VS games - need advice.

Avoid PS1 Vs games like the plague, we're not talking about slightly inferior versions here the PS1 iteration's are completely crippled. Does that go for the SF Alpha 3 port as well? To anyone that knows, how the hell do I go about getting an import Saturn anyway? Is ebay any good or would I have t...

Re: Early Capcom VS games - need advice.

Thanks for all the information Shadowman - much appreciated. I'm assuming that the import games will work fine with the Saturn Action Replay cartridge (region unlocker, cheats, RAM expansion and back-up saves all in one) or do they have their own specific RAM carts like the KOF games? I really know ...

Re: Early Capcom VS games - need advice.

1. Which of the games got PAL Saturn releases? X-Men: CotA and MSH. I expected as much. Still, not many considering Virgin used to publish a lot of Capcom's fighters in the mid-nineties - would've thought they'd have picked up a few more for localisation than those two. Looks I like I might just go...

Early Capcom VS games - need advice.

You know the ones... Xmen: Children of the Atom Marvel Superheroes Xmen Vs Street Fighter Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter Marvel Vs Capcom (the first one) I'm a big Vs fan and I hope to get around to getting all of these in the near future. I've no problem with opting for the PS1 versions but ...

Re: Hardest game you've played recently

Actually, the hardest game I have played recently would have to be World Heroes 2: Jet, purely for the end boss who is so cheap it hurts. I have never beaten him nor can I be bothered to when WH Perfect is so much more fairer in every aspect.

Re: Best Final Fantasy Battle System Poll

I voted VIII. I've already written about why I like it in the Materia thread so I'll keep it short; I really liked the junctioning system and the magic drawing. It was hard to understand at first but when you do 'get it', it allows for some nice customisation and some depth. I was close to voting fo...

Re: Hardest game you've played recently

Oh yes, I remember that only too well :x Defeating Metroid Prime itself was an absolute nightmare, and...........*SPOILER ALERT*...........it also managed to catch me off guard with that secondary boss fight after the main one as well (where you have to defeat the now unarmoured Metroid Prime). Ann...

Re: The King of Fighters XII

Devil/Angel's, theme was definitely one of the best things about T2. I loved all the music though and it was one of the only fighters where both the arranged and original BGM's are worth listening to, similar though they are (I often switch between the two sevral times in one sitting). That's the ma...

Re: Final Fantasy materia question

The thing I liked about FF8's system was the enormous potential. By sinking absolutely hours into finding materials from monsters, you could equip each character with certain GF's and have those GF's learn certain junction abilities (by refining the materials in the scroll items) thereby enabling yo...

Re: Hardest game you've played recently

you poor thing the advance wars games are up there with metal slug and ghouls n goblins as one of the hardest games ever made. mind you, what can make an easy game very hard is the unfair distribution of save points in a game-yes, im looking at you , Final Fantasy 8! its no good if a game isnt hard...

Re: Hardest game you've played recently

It would have to be Zombie Zone on the PS2. I know its a rubbishy budget game but some of the bosses are impossible to defeat without health restoratives/invincibility power-ups. Being surrounded by gun-toting police zombies is also a quick way to die if you're unlucky.

Re: The King of Fighters XII

Tekken has lost favour with me since Tekken 2 and 3. They play brilliantly and look nice but I just don't ever get the urge to play them as much as say, Tekken 2 which frequently finds itself in my PS2's disc tray. In my case, it might be the music/stages which have gone a bit crap and forgettable ...

Re: Anyone trying to get a complete game collection?

Which one is the first on the PS, Night Warriors? Cause I got that one at a local store 1-2 years ago for a fiver. Yep, thats the one. I got it a while ago from a boot sale for a fiver as well. Did Darkstalkers 2 (Vampire Hunter - Darkstalkers Revenge) get a Euro Playstation release? I got the orig...
