Been playing a bit more Fatal Fury 2 yesterday. It's really annoying when you realise that a lot of moves don't translate very well to the PS2's d-pad. I don't know if they were easier to pull off with the proper arcade sticks back in the day but some of the commands (especially the super moves) ha...

Some of it is down to the player's tolerance for grinding. Take the aforementioned Crystal Tower in FF3 for example: everytime I died, I did a bit more grinding until I was able to take down Cerberus, Ahriman, Echidna and the two-headed dragon with ease. There are a lot of people who wouldn't put up...

Believe me, I'll give them all a go eventually. I'm just wary of being exposed to too much Fatal Fury in one place - I like to play each one in order extensively so I can appreciate the improvements in each installment. I did the same for WH Anthology and in the end, each game got a decent amount of...

Well, I was playing Fatal Fury Battle Archives yesterday for the first time. Never played a Fatal Fury game before (same goes for most of the SNK fighters which is why I'm after these anthologies) so it was quite an experience. Beating Geese for the first time was hugely satisfying (used a lot of co...

I wasn't a big fan myself to be honest. The first two games were way too clunky and unfair AI-wise for my liking. The third one was pretty good though - looked really nice as well.

SNK Anthologies

So, has anybody else picked any of these up? I think they represent really good value for money and SNK seem to be putting loads of their back catalogue onto these discs. So far I've got Art of Fighting Anthology, World Heroes Anthology and Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol.1. Still need to pick up SNK...

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol.1 for PS2.

Beats waiting for the sequels to show up on the VC and £9.99 (from gamestation) was a steal for what are essentially four NeoGeo games.

I'm still happy with my PS2. *Shrug* Me too. Part of the reason I like the Wii is because it's similar to the PS2 capability wise. I know that sounds crazy but I all the online stuff for the 360/PS3 puts me off (just not interested). I know the Wii does online but thankfully, there aren't really an...

Mine has been gathering dust for a fair few months now (only being used for the odd GC game and the VC download of Super SFII) but that's only because I've been waiting patiently for the games being released in Q1 this year. HotD Overkill, Madworld, Deadly Creatures, Onechanbra etc. The console has ...

Agree with what everyone else says about selling certain games individually. We all know bidders can get a bit crazy on ebay sometimes so the likes of PDS and radiant Silvergun will fetch Lord knows how much if the right people are there. Definitely think it over though; I've got absolutely tons of ...

Just the three that I can think of at this moment (I know I probably have loads more): F-Zero GX (Gamecube) - first F-Zero I ever played and I was blown away by the sheer speed. Final Fantasy VIII (PS1) - Hard to pick a stand out moment; the whole game blew me away really, especially the intro movie...

Just started playing Zombie Zone on the PS2 (One of the cheapo budget titles that is actually a precurser to the upcoming Wii game, Bikini Zombie Slayers). Graphics, music and gameplay are all awful yet it still has...something. Perhaps its just the idea of playing as a gore-splattered chick in a bi...

There was a rumour regarding a Mew glitch, I think it went something like this: Get someone to trade you a pokemon that knew the HM move 'Cut'. This means that you don't have to board the ship in Vermillion City to obtain the HM therefore it remains in the harbour instead of leaving once you've fini...
