Re: Castlevania

Only played a few: The original (via the NES Classics GBA re-release) - nice game but too difficult for me. Couldn't get past the hallway of medusa heads leading up to the grim reaper boss battle. On the few occasions that I DID get there, I was life support and got killed immediately, with no time ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Very deep into Yakuza Kiwami 2 at the moment. Possibly my favourite so far but, then again, Yakuza 2 was always my favourite prior to this. That said, I enjoyed Yakuza 0 so much that the old goalposts have been moved somewhat. The batting in this game can really just go do one though. I don't unders...

Re: Ebay is flooded with repros. Can anything be done?

Recently been dragged into this world, proud owner of no fakes mainly because the games that I normally get are not or wont be faked, in general. However purchase pokemon games recently and all seem legit but having a hard job deciding if my pokemon platinum box is faked. Its an EU version, has a h...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Damn...a used DC is now about £50+ and Project Justice is a £100+ game. Yeah, that might not happen!

Re: What are you currently playing?

Been hammering Rival Schools (PS1). Amazingly, I had never played this one before (one of the few Capcom fighting games that slipped past me) but I really enjoyed it, especially having characters to unlock rather than the DLC or already-fully-unlocked select screens of modern fighting games. Graphic...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

The copy of Wind Waker that I have has a bonus disc but it only has OoT/Master Quest on it.

The one that also has the other Zelda games on it (which I also have) is the "Collector's Edition"

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Yakuza Remastered Collection arrived from Amazon today. Half forgot that it was releasing this Feb so it was a nice surprise! Still got a way to go on Kiwami 2 before I get into these though. Looking forward to playing 3 again, without all the cuts/censors that the original PS3 version had.

Re: Aaaaaaaaaargh! HOME takes you to the Web Site!

No, I distinctly remember that "Board Index" was the left-most option at the top of the forum page.

In fact, I instinctively clicked there out of habit before this post (without paying attention) and ended up on the website.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Yakuza Kiwami - been so long since I last played the PS2 original that this feels like a brand-new game to me. That said, it may as well be as there's quite a lot of new content and substories. I remember some of them from back in the day but others I've either forgotten about or were brand-new. Li...

Re: What are you currently playing?

All these years later, I'm finally playing Tombi for the PS1. Really cool game that has lived up to the demo that I smashed repeatedly in the late 90's! I did go for the £6.49 download from PSN though. As much as I like having a physical game collection, I just can't bring myself to pay £100+ for an...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Bayonetta 2 (Wii-U) - not quite as good as the first one but the original was so good that that's still high praise. Notably easier this time with much more lenient Witch Time and very little need to bother with items (I barely used any at all). In fact, I didn't die a single time! The QTE's of deat...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Yeah, Friday was originally Paramount then the franchise was acquired by New Line Cinema hence why Freddy Vs Jason was even possible. I think the sequel that was titled "The New Beginning" was supposed to be the end of Jason but, as Shinobi said, they changed it all. Personally, I really like Jason ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Freddy vs Jason was awesome. Nobody, other than Robert Englund, can do Freddy which is why I didn't really care for the NoES remake.

Re: Best DS in 2019?

Personally I'd go DS Lite because you can still play original GameBoy, GBC and GBA games. The DSi were nice but unless you want the bigger screens of the XL (I had one, but wasn't overly enamoured with it). Only GBA games, mind. The older, bigger carts don't fit. If you are hardcore about playing a...
