Play Deathchase on the Spectrum and tell me that's still true. No, it's not perfectly smooth, but at speed you don't notice that and if you're not speeding, you're not playing it right.
It's not 3d though as such, is it though?

Re: Which 3D games still stand the test of time?

I can't think of many that still look good. Tons still play very well though. Re: PSN - your recommendations

Gravity Crash, as Ginj says, because he knows stuff. It's about the best retro-styled thing on PSN imo, it's absolutely essential.

Pixeljunk Shooter, Pixeljunk Shooter 2 and Pixeljunk Sidescroller are top-notch too.

Re: Hangovers

Here's the cure. The actual, scienced cure. Water before bed to help with dehydration. Couple of paracetamol will help you not wake up with a bad head during the night. More water first thing, and some more paracetamol if needs be. Then get yourself a fry-up, as you will have a need for carbs and pr...

Easy peasy - Thunder Force IV, my favourite game of all time, never mind just the Megadrive.

Re: There are no memorable tunes in gaming anymore!

Don't get me wrong - this isn't about modern games not having great music - it's about being able to remember and hum a tune from memory - I can remember tons of old ones. I have to concede though that MGS and Halo are 2 I can recall. I loved the Deus Ex music but can't for the life of me remember ...

...leading to the next appaling game I enjoy Silent Bomber.I really liked the game and would replay the bits i could play a great deal. Re: When a review turn developers nasty

XBLIG review sites usually don't last long as those making the site hate the games so much they quit, and also people stop reading them as they soon get tired of reading lots of negative comments. It isn't nice to read reviews on something you've worked hard on. Think how you'd feel if the game was...
