Re: I got burgled

Talk about your bad luck...

So totally unrelated to the burglary, my bank card got cloned and someone in Ecuador cleaned out my account. Seriously. I'll hopefully get it all back, but the bank didn't bother blocking the transactions like other banks do.

So yeah, talk about your bad weeks, eh?

Re: shmups

Question for fellow shmuppers - Mamoru Kun on PS3, has anyone played it, got any feedback either way? I think AmidstStorm did a mini roundup of PS3 shmups with this included on his blog a while back. It's popped up on Genkivideogames and seems like something I'd enjoy. Not played it but I thought i...

Re: Classic Films you hate!

Mine are normally quite contravertial, but it seems I'm in good company here. Anyway: Citizen Kane - boring as f**k, plot hole littered tosh. Yes, introduced some good techniques, but that's all. 2001 - again, just bores me to tears. Most of Kubrick's stuff is sh!te, except Dr. Strangelove. Terminat...

Re: Rubbish films you love!

Yeah, I thought Event Horizon was awesome, myself.

Ahem. I really enjoyed Dragon Wars (2007). Apart from the really cheesy dialogue/acting, there's some fantastic action bits with some dodgy, some good, special effects.

Re: I got burgled

Cheers again everyone. I've had loads of offers of replacements and stuff, and loads of people trying to get the word out. It gives you a lot of faith in the internet, let me tell you. Apropos of nothing, you guys are stepping up. Thank you.

Re: I got burgled

Cheers guys. The Jap shmups, I can't see them being on ebay because they won't have a clue what they are called even, so local shops or Gumtree are probably my best bet. The Twitter thing could work out, but I'm not on it, and I was thinking about Facebook, but I refuse to put stuff like this on it,...

Re: I got burgled

Any possibility of getting the local second hand places to keep an eye out for any of your stuff turning up? Yeah, I have done, Cash Converters were really helpful - they have things in place for this type of thing as you can imagine, and the guy even said my collection would stick out like a sore ...

Re: What games do you want to be remade

Said it before, no doubt I'll say it again - Unirally in a TrackMania style setup would be cool. Not sure about the Trackmania style, but definitely Unirally. On XBLA, 4 player online, HD 2D graphics... They could even get around the Pixar b*stards by redesigning the Unis. It would be brilliant, XB...

I got burgled

Over the weekend someone broke in to my house and got a good haul of stuff. My entire 360/PS3 collection was the main thing - they left the consoles and stuff, so I got away lightly, really (apart from some of the gf's jewellery). My Vectrex was sitting there right by the games, but they left that t...
