I know that Rockman was changed to Megaman in the west due to the former being known as slang for crack cocaine (I guess not ideal for a game aimed at Children!)

You have to laugh at the boxart for Knights of the Sky: "Struggling against the social stigmas of the time, and the chaos of war torn Europe, two young airmen find romance in the skies"

Story of Thor generally sellf for £10-£12 if complete, can sometimes go go for alot more. Seen a bidding war twice on the bay, where it went for £26 and £31. Yes but you are talking 'bidding war' here! I watched an 'ultra rare and special edition' pink floyd album sell for £700 that was ultra ...

Am I allowed to include modern games? I've been trying to complete Super R-type, couldn' do it back when I had the game, can't do it now :o Completed Resistance 2, very 'by the numbers' but I couldn't help but feel impressed by it all, even if it did feature perhaps the most characterless-main-chara...

Thats like asking if you should have a mars bar or a sprout. My thoughts exactly.. I guess the Saturn now is as cheap as its ever likely to be.. the fact that it was never produced in anything like the quanities of the NES makes me think that it might get more expensive in time? Alot of small gamin...

Can anyone else remember that one that it was impossible to complete? I can't remember what it was called, but basically you were a 'monster' in it (I think trying to escape from some kind of dungeon or laboratory). I remember tearing my hair out with it, ending up exploring every page, and even goi...

I got told by a friend recently that there was some sort of allegation of child abuse by one of them? Surely that must be BS?

First of all, have to say this is a great list! I kind of thought that the original streets of rage deserved to be there for being an iconic game and trend setter when it was released on the MD, but I do think that SoR2 was a much better game (certainly it compared well to the SNES's Final Fight at ...

- Playing Doom 3 with a pair of surround-sound headphones on in a darkened room!
- The opening section of Aliens vs. Predator, playing as the Marine!
- Call me sad, but searching out rooms in the old X-COM games, knowing that any moment a shot could come and kill your most experienced troop!

In my opinion it has to be the original machine! Emulators are all well and good, but for me the experience is as much about slapping in the cart, perhaps the little 'flicker' as the game boots up, and the original controller!

I recently played Mario 64 through emulation, and it just wasnt the same!
