Re: Who likes retrogaming on a projector?

I'm guessing that instead of a screen a plain white wall would suffice... :D

Re: Multiplayer Games - Name Your Favorite Multiplayer Game

There's a good choice of N64 and SNES titles that are on my list - but sadly nobody plays me on them any more.

Re: N64 mini pix leaked

Sadly, it won't be complete without Goldeneye & Perfect Dark in my opinion - but I'm sure everyone remembers the problems that were raised with the various attempts to bring Goldeneye out on the various virtual console style shops. There would need to be all-new agreements put into place as I'm sure...

Indeed, I still have my issue one of both magazines.
I still have the cheat book that came with the first issue of Gamesmaster Magazine - it's well worn and stuck together with tape, admittedly, but I'm proud to say that I still have it.

Re: Backwards Compatability

I agree 100% with English Invader here - if I can't physically put in my old games into a later console of the same line, then it truly isn't backwards compatible. For example, the GBA is backwards compatible with the original Game Boy - the BG Micro isn't - and just because original Game Boy games ...

Re: Franchises and games you are surprised haven't returned

I loved the classic (as in original & Red Alert) style of C&C - but EA have recently announced that they're making it into a mobile game - and then responded to backlash by saying gamers don't know what they want... I am kind of surprised that Perfect Dark never got tried again after the xbox 360 tr...

Re: What did you prefer: cassettes or 5¼" floppies?

I always used tapes back in the day - but with the advent of the floppy disc, loading became much faster. Still, it's always good to be able to start loading a game, go and make a cuppa and take your time coming back to the game.

Re: Handheld/controller batteries

Personally I'd buy the long life battery now - and a second as a spare for in future. Being able to play for more than an hour or two between charges makes a world of difference for the WiiU games that use the tablet controller.

Re: Handheld/controller batteries

If the rechargable batteries are the standard AA or AAA then they tend to need regularly full charging and full discharging to maximise the lifespan. Lithium Ion batteries (such as the ones in a lot of handheld consoles & some controllers) however apparently do better with smaller charges though.

In that case, I might have seen you guys but not have known it was you...

Next time I might have to resort to carrying a copy of the magazine in my hand, lol.

Re: wii U

It's true some of it's games are ported or being ported, but similarly the Wii U had superior ports of previous gen Nintendo exclusives such Twilight Princess, Windwaker, and Monster Hunter Tri, if those interest you? Also the Wii U doubles as a Wii opening that entire library to you aswell if you ...

Re: Upcoming Social Gaming events v2

The Play Expo's going to be at Braehead again in a few weeks - the 9th & 10th of June.

This'll be the third year they've been there (and hopefully I'll have attended all of them when it comes)

Re: PlayStation game banned

You just know that the ban will result in massive demand for the game - just like it did with Manhunt 2 - Nothing guarantees inflated prices and demand than a ban on a game  Seriously though - I have to wonder how this kind of game gets developed without someone stopping and saying "Hang on, ar...
