Re: Hot Topic - Best Magnetic Scrolls Game

I would have voted for the pawn if it wasnt for the stupid "throw white" solution to the snowman puzzle.

Re: From the Forum question for issue 78

Got to agree, the first and 2nd game were the most impressive...after that they lost sight of the gameplay in their rush to add silly graphic effects and extra controls that just made it more awkward to play. The T-rex scene was very well done.

Re: Hawk's self-indulgent Spectrum thread.

Is there anything that can boost the signal from a zx48k? I get a really fuzzy picture, new tvs seem to struggle like hell to tune in to old hardware.

What about modern hardware for old computers?

Is there any chance of covering some of these new devices for running games on old computers? things such as the divIDE for zx spectrum and 1541 Ultimate for C64; I know some people complain too much time is devoted to these 2 but they effectively WERE the 1980s computing scene in the UK.

128bit, should be enough to match an old audio tape. I think the issue is volume.

Anyone got a zx spectrum to load from mp3?

Hello, I've been trying recently to get my 48k spectrum to load games from an mp3 player, with poor results. Nothing at all worked using my GP2X and the ipod seems to be hit and miss - most normal speed games work but no turbo loading works (ipod also cant be expanded). Has anyone found a good way o...

Re: The Iphone debate.

I've had an iphone 3G since xmas and its pretty poor for games; its fast and has a nice screen but the touchscreen is next to worthless for most games (those that arn't tilt controlled). I'm really hoping the next iphone has some slide out game controls and a higher res for reading webpages.
