Re: Formula 1 2013 season thread
Korea was an average sort of race - a safety car always helps. I'm starting to be turned off the sport by the Vettel bashing - I'm not a particular Vettel fan, but to run him down as seems to be constantly happening is frankly embarrassing. I think Hamilton and Alonso are incredible drivers, but the...

Re: How much last gen stuff is too much?
I think this really comes down to the games as much as their generation - something like ICO, Rez or Shadow of Colossus is well worth my reading time. Obviously FIFA12 less so

Re: RetroN 5 Thoughts
been stung by overhyped modern retro consoles - but this one sounds fantastic. If it's reasonably priced, works as promised and you can actually get hold of one, then i'd give it a go

Re: From the forum issue 122
someone brought theirs to the computer club at the local library once, but I'd be lying if I said I remember what games I got a brief go on. It was probably Prince of Persia (though someone here mentioned Lode Runner and it could have easily been that).

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread
took the plunge last week and picked up a Vita as the prices seem to be getting lower and I wanted an OLED screen model. Only played Uncharted so far, but very impressed with the machine. I know it doesn't have a lot of AAA titles, but that's OK as I don't have as much gaming time as I used to. Can ...

Re: Vita Slim
i always loved the original PSP, but the Vita was too expensive. This is probably a step in the right direction, but price & a flow of games will the dealbreaker.

got the Castlevania in Oxfam - it's quite hard imho, shame you need to unlock the 2nd game rather than being able to play it from menu :/

Re: Which book(s) are you currently reading?
Just finished Hearts in Atlantis as well - in the middle of Tommy Knockers now. Stephen King is a magnificent author, possibly underrated as a serious writer? I'm not sure - but I always find a lot of his stuff, especially that without the supernatural flavour, very impressive. Also just finished N...

Re: How much last gen stuff is too much?
like the idea of a few pages each month, but would prefer it to be about the lesser know/rare last gen games, as the major titles are of less interest (until the age a bit more).

Re: Looking to build a database of retro game stores
Game On in Croydon has a small retro section, but I've had bad experiences with them with a Gamecube rarity one, so maybe best to avoid....

both the above look great will be checking them out.
Have bought Blitz as it's one of my all time favourites. lovely Vic 20 look. A touch crisper on the control & it would be perfect.
Very glad to see retro & indie style games like these on Android - hope they do well

Tokyo Year Zero by David Peace. It's grim but very atmospheric.
