I never watched these guys and never heard the calls but from what I see it was all about, it's pretty sick. The poor guy is 78, ever heard of respecting your elders! But since returning to Europe I've been horrified by how bad the TV and media has become. Other than the odd old shows I can't watch ...

Idea - Readers' Reviews?

Just had a thought. How about dedicating, say 1-2 pages, to readers sending in their own reviews of a chosen retro game? RG would obviously go through them and publish the best ones, and avoid covering the same game twice. That'd give a bit more interaction with the readers, maybe readers with aspir...

When RG had cover discs, I didn't know the mag existed yet. But I can't imagine what was on them. I would imagine that old games would either be PC games that are freeware (which you can download for free) or roms (which would be illegal, yeah?). Or maybe demos of retro games revamped and released o...

Microprose Grand Prix. Forget Revs and all those other so called classics, MGP was the first game to make you feel like you were in a real grand prix season. Pure quality. I was going to mention the same game, although I just liked it because I could do a 180 and then drive in reverse, crashing eve...

I'm looking at YOU, Ocean and Elite, for crimes against childhood with such dross as: - Knight Rider - Rambo Amen brother! Knight Rider on the NES was hideous, the game's music still haunts me. It was impossible to play! Rambo, well I don't know about that but they had Rambo 3 on the PC and it was ...

Not that I love Spurs but really, what is happening? I mean, I know they only have 2 points but I can't imagine Spurs being bad, ever (sadly...). But then I watched them play against Udinese. My word, they really are bad. I can't believe it. Gareth Bale should be loaned out to Luton Town and even th...

was at villa park last night. gotta say ajax fans are a bunch of c*nts! Yip. Having lived in Holland for 13 years (and then another 5 months during this year, sadly) I can agree. All the hoo-hah about how evil the English fans are, even though they're the best in the world, it really upset me becau...

Just a thought - how about you give away both DVDs to the star letter writer each month, instead of the binder + t-shirt? That way you reward the lucky sod with all the Retro Gamer issues on DVD to read and enjoy much more retro-gaming, rather than a t-shirt that will fade with the wash and a binder...

Anyone find that after years of playing games that get increasingly more violent, nothing really scares you anymore? Like I'm not a psycho but seeing blood and guts on Doom 3 or mowing down peds with Carmageddon just doesn't do much for me anymore...

Worst footie management sim - The Premiership (Codemasters?). Man that was bad. Got it in a bargain bin and thought I was so lucky. And then I got to play it. So horrible that you select a team and no matter what you do, you cannot get fired or move to another club. So here's me with Leeds United or...

There was never a legit Super Mario 4 for the gameboy, sounds like a pirated or hacked game (not surprising since it is on a 32in1 cart) Nope, there is one... it's a Japanese release. I found it on Romnation.net as well. It's really unplayable though, controls are crap too. I'm good at Mario but co...

Yeah, regarding LSL2, how does it work - at the beginning I can just about walk around the block, but do nothing else - even with the walkthrough I can't seem to do anything??!! LSL1 is just classic, the VGA remake looks nicer but is tedious to play - and LSL3 was great, a lot longer and still the g...

Well I had a look just now, it wasn't Basket Master - nor Fast Break. I remember that it was from left to right, and if I'm not mistaken it doesn't scroll, you go from left to right - then when you get to the half way line, it changes to a new screen and you continue. Alas... but hey, just had a tho...
