Re: Favourite Japanese Developer?
From a retro standpoint, definately SNK and Sega due to their phenomenal arcade output throughout the late 80's and early 90's. The majority of which I thoroughly enjoy looking back through and playing. I would probably side with Nintendo and Capcom these days though in terms of sheer playability.

Re: What are you currently playing?
Page 666! Today I played a bit of Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Genesis, not a fan to be honest. Some really nice graphical touches, but I didn't find the gameplay enjoyable. Back to Castlevania 3 I guess. Also played Conta: Hard Corps for a bit, easily one of the best Contra games and way better ...

I know very little about 80's computers, but that Commodore setup looks so cool.

Passed on it for a tenner a year back due to the fact it didn't come with the microphone.

I picked up the GBC version a few months ago and was instantly hooked, definately up there with Tetris. Shame the cartridge battery is dead.

Great news, but I will still probably buy a Japanese 360 this year for all the other shooters we will never see.

Re: GBA Collecting
I really need to play Double Dragon Advance, it looks awesome. I think the only boxes I ever kept were my Bit Generations and Mother 1/2/3 ones.

Re: GBA Collecting
Kicking myself for binning the boxes, I've got a ton of GBA games. Really love my famicom micro, easily one of my favourite consoles. I hate the fact it's getting harder to collect for what with the abundance of fakes out there

Gunblade NY/LA Machineguns (wii)
Sega Bass Fishing (wii)
Fighters Megamix (saturn)
Daytona USA (saturn)
Panzer Dragoon (saturn)
Panzer Dragoon Zwei (saturn)
All the Saturn games are Jap. I'm currently on a Sega spree, need a new TV though

Re: War..War never changes...
Fallout 3 looked amazing, had some fantastic characters and was fun to explore for a while. Then it got so unbelievably tedious. I really can't understand why it is so highly rated. Who want's to explore/get lost in the same cavern/bunker/building a thousand times over? Who wants to crawl through ru...

Re: Super Ghouls and Ghosts question...
Picked up the GBA version a while back, so hard yet so addictive. I never tire of playing GnG. My favourite version will always be the Mega Drive version though, beautiful game.

Re: Why do you play retro games?
Because I am fascinated in how technology has expanded and developed. And also how different gaming was back then compared to today. Plus the fact I was born in 1988 and missed out on a lot of great consoles and have had to catch up :D I enjoy reading about older games more to be honest, about 60% o...

Really looking forward to this one. It could easily be just another boring third person space marine shooter, but so far I have been impressed with what I have seen. I enjoyed Bayonetta, so here's hoping this has a similar quality to it.

Re: Best PC era
No doubt anything mid 90s wins it, but my favourite era of pc gaming is the DirectX/Online era. I got my first PC at the end of 1999 and was blown away by Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Half Life, Dark Forces 2, Rouge Squadron, Motorcross Mania, Counter Strike 1.6, Rollcage, Tomb Raider 3, MDK, Soldier...
