Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Always a fan from the first episode and original movie. I was more drawn towards willow than buffy though, she was the more interesting character-and better actress. Season 2 or 3 finales were epic, although the total finale episodes were rushed and quite underwhelming...gutted about Anya though. Lo...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Had another crack at Zelda Windwaker as i gave up on the gamecube due to the level involving plants that shoot you into tge air, you tgen have to land in another to be shot up further. Anyway I played for a bit thinking how the hell did i get that far without a walkthrough. Got to said level and was...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Sky Arts has had a doc series called "the seventies" which was interesting and now theyve had a series on "the eighties"... its produced by Tom Hanks and he gives some of his views too, there are various episodes like the Aids outbreak, MTV etc. Episode 8 is on technology and includes stuff on VHS, ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned the return of the walking dead....bit of a whimper of a returning episode...this series seems plodding and talky talky. Watched tge first episode of the new series 24 Legacy. Thought id miss Jack Bauer..but i dont, the first episode was packed with excitement without...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Spending £50 quid for a nw ps4 controller....and they dont even put usb connector leads in it...the one thing you need to use it first time as it pairs the pad with the ps4. Annoying half hour fishing the ps4 boxout of the attic hunting fir the lead. My other pad is always connected using a longer c...

Re: Need vita buying advice

I have a 32gb Memory card and it seems more than enough. The slim version is the second wave of vitas and lacks the original oled screen...how this reeealy suffers is up to you how picky you want your crisp visuals. Apart from the charger port being a mini usb thing, colour of vita and plasticy feel ...

Re: Childrens Film Foundation SKY343

There have been a fair few cff films shown on here since my original post, things like Pop Pirates, Friend or Foe and a lot more. They also have the odd obscure stufflike "now for nookie" which sounds fnar fnar but is a nookie the bear talk show entertainment thing. There are some gems hidden there ...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Stupid fiddly bits in games. i recently redkwnloaded Sine Mora on vita. I like the odd shootemup and progressed nicely on this, BUT there is this one part of a level where you are expected to fly through a disposal system hiding behind lumps of rubbish because you will be destroyed instantly by the ...

Re: Heads up Wii U and 3DS games £5 sealed in Sainsbury's

I remember Tesco and Sainsbury used to have really good January sales on dvds and games about 2 maybe 3 years ago...nothing this year. My local sainsbury has no interest in its games and looks really unloved, games rarely less than 40quid.

Re: Resident Evil VII

Not sure how far im in at so far...i think playing with the vr helmet is a slower experience as you seem to have to look far more for things, physically for starters. Ive just got the red and vlue cards and had a bit of a "saw" type videotape which was a fun diversion. im guessing a lot of dlc will ...

Re: Resident Evil VII

Yes as darran said, the family are more of an undeafeatable kind of constant threat. Ammo can be sparse at times but head shots seem easier to do this time around, especially in vr mode. I will say though that the 2nd time i met jack frustrated the hell out of me, I purposely backtracked a bit speci...

Re: Resident Evil VII

Yeah the 180 degree turn has been in the games since the remake or 4, not sure but it does aid the queasy factor rather than watching the room spin you can press left stick back and press circle, you could also do a long blink as you press them just to give yourself that microsecond focus regain. It...

Re: Resident Evil VII

Im assuming (i havent checked yet) that the control options maybe the same, if not there are ways to either move the left right looking at angles of 30 45 90 degrees, i found this jarring and a bit hot and miss when boss fighting, Instead of the angles i choose the camera smoothing options which cha...

Re: What are you currently playing?

After taking a break from some ps4 i turned the ps3 on and rediscovered some gems. The puppeteer maybe the the most under appreciated game i know. Played a few more levels and forgpt how unique and infectious it was. Also after being stuck for aaaages on a boss i wrote off Nuni kuni thingy white wit...
