Re: Games that hold nostalgia for you

I think we are at the stage now in games where there is almost nowhere else to go. I never thought the VR experience would be as good as ive experienced, even impressing non gamers in my family to be spooked to call it almost witchcraft. Doom in VR ? I dont think Resi Evil could have been anymore re...

Re: Games that hold nostalgia for you

I can still remember the first time i played DoubleDragon, Kung Fu Master and Golden Axe. If i want a nostalgic slab rush ill put one on mame and have an hour, not necessarily playing to get to the end, just playing and remembering days gone by. Im glad i was born in the era i was born, i experience...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Whenever I order anything, you can guarantee it will arrive when there is NOBODY around to take it in. I ordered from Amazon and the vague tracking info given was basically "its on its way" and a green line. Anyway yesterday, beautiful scorching day sat in, in case I miss the delivery. All day until...

Re: Your fave Mortal Kombat

Mk2. Annoyed me the fuss they made about the fatalities, the moves to activate them were so vagueand almost impossible in the time given. When you have instructions that start with being a precise distance away to start with, i think every fatality was usually a high punch failed move. I liked scorp...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I was playing it on wiiu pad and there is a criminal amount of slowdown on bits. The first level where you have zombies coming up plus jumping dogs and flaming skulls behind portculis things slows down terrible. I made a point of making sure i always had the gold armour then constantly saving and re...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Playing Super Ghouls n Ghosts on the wiiu just now. Totally frustrating, going back to the start every death. ive played it in the past and keep dying so turn it off. Got to the end of the first level...yes the first level and got killed by a big demon, In temper i squeezed the 4 corner buttons and ...

Re: The answer to why we like retro games.

We were discussing this at work a few months ago as a fellow emplyee was ridiculed for wearing childrens boxer shorts...well Dangermouse to be exact. I stuck up for him also saying retro tv was something i loved like grange hill. it was brought up that older men liked to watch childrens tv to entice...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Drivers who hog the road. Cars parked down the right hand side of the road causes drivers to cross onto my lane...i dont mind squeezing over so we can all pass BUT i get annoyed at those that cause you to almost either clip the pavement or drive over drains as they hog the whole road.

Re: Highly rated games that you do not like.

Ive tried to get into some GRand theft auto games, but the constant swearing and go fetch tasks are borderline tedious/annoying.

3d platformers. I love mario64 but the expanse of some titles is daunting. Sly cooper or ratchet and clank offerings being an example.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Scummy work colleagues. Those that are so jealous of others success. I was promoted a couple of years back yet there is always that one person that thinks they deserve it or just want a title to be important. Well this one person whose brother is a little but more successful than him in life decided...

Re: CoD is going back to it's WW2 roots

Cod 2 was my fave too, online and off. Simple weapons and gameplay, no perks or dogs or helidrop debacles, no drones etc If you wanted to run you had to put you rifle away and run with a pistol, well move a bit faster..wasnt really running. I think there were 2 or 3 of each weapon you could choose f...
