Re: The Player Manager 2015

No sorry joystick on right fire button on left. seems a bit weird for a lefty like me. Also as far as i'm aware, Dino's got nothing to do with it so there could be copyright issues if the games goes viral..

Re: From The Forum Issue 142

Lightforce. It proved that the humble Speccy could deliver an arcade quality shoot em up and with no colour clash to be seen. Yes you did read that right - no colour clash!! Wow.

Re: The Retro Gamer Forums Musicians Thread

Hi guys, I'm trying to get into movie and TV scoring and would appreciate your comments on my track Hidden Depths. https://soundcloud.com/swampy101/hidden-depths It wasn't until I'd finished it that I realised it had a touch of the Parallax about it. I hope you like it and if you do please leave a ...

Re: Questions for David 'Frontier: Elite 2 soundtrack' Lowe

How hard was it to port the arcade music of Power Drift into a c64 & did you get any help from Sega. By the way what do think of my c64 remix of Power Drift (1989 Club mix) that's available to download on remix.kwed?

Re: The Player Manager 2015

Well first the good news it's all there and with much more content from the 1990 original. The bad news is that the controls on a touch screen tablet are really fiddly to use and make controlling the ball really difficult. It's even more so if your left handed like me - they've put the joystick on t...

Re: Profile issues

Yes I've put it in my sig section as it allows that, it's only when I go to my profile panel and fill in the website: blank section.

It won't allow me to do it.

Re: Discuss Time! Issue 141 Your first gaming purchase

The first game I bought for a princely sum of £9.95 was Knightlore for the ZX Spectrum. I only bought the game because the packaging looked so fancy next to all the other plastic cassette cases in Boots. I thought that if the packaging looked great then so was the game and of course it turned out in...

Re: Profile issues

I tried to update my website home address to my c64remixer youtube channel and got this. The domain youtube.com you have used for your website has been blocked because it is blacklisted. For details please see http://www.ahbl.org/lktool?lookup=youtube.com. An entry on the blacklist may have ...

Re: Your Unpopular Opinion!

As I've got older I've realized that popular culture doesn't give us consumers much choice. It's like one big supermarket and this is just what we have to buy/watch and listen too whether you like it or not. It's like you turn on the radio or go to a club and it's this music style that we must liste...

Re: Introducing The Amiga Book

The Amiga was an introduction I'm sure for many budding musicians on a budget. That was more the ST to be fair, it was always the musicians choice because of the MIDI ports. True but it had tracker programs that were like free software samplers and you could buy MIDI ports for the amiga as well as ...

Re: Your Unpopular Opinion!

Hale & Pace need more recognition for being the comedy geniuses that they were in the 80's. Their version of Old McDonald Had A Farm simulating the effects of various mild-altering substances is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Almost uniquely their stuff for ITV was far better than...

Re: Your Unpopular Opinion!

Hale & Pace need more recognition for being the comedy geniuses that they were in the 80's. Morecambe and Wise are over rated by the way. So is Ed Sheeran. Why do real artistic and creative people create music or art to be put on the internet when there is already so much stuff on there it hardly ev...

Re: Introducing The Amiga Book

Magazine could have done with more in-depth feature content about the Amiga. Where is a music feature for example? The Amiga was an introduction I'm sure for many budding musicians on a budget.

Enjoyed the read and it is nice to have the articles in one place now
