Re: Who Loved Type-Ins?

Had a few books with type in listings for the oric -1, spectrum and c64. They always had a program titled Biorhythms didn't they and never mind about tape loading errors for games; type ins always had a bug somewhere that rendered your hard work a waste of time. I'm pretty sure you could have taken ...

Re: He Man Cartoon Soundtrack

I always liked the Ulysses 31 soundtrack. Not just the title music but the prog rock synth score added a lot of atmosphere to the stories.

Re: From the forum issue 147 - Favourite gory games

Green Beret. Stabbing enemies with a knife. That's one game that would have been debated in Parliament if knife crime was as bad as it is today.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Not retro but currently playing Witcher III Wild Hunt - that game seriously needs a first person camera because it ain't no Skyrim.

What Remakes do you want?

With so many remakes being done these days, are there any retro games that you would now like see being done for your PS4/Xbox One/PC. Personally I'd like to see GTA Vice City for this PC/Console Generation. The game would be using the GTA V rendering model for Vice City/Characters. I'd like to see ...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 144

In the questions to David Darling bit, Hiro asked a question about the C16 and the answer is about the Spectrum? I'm guessing Gremlins but do you have Davids actual answer to Hiros question? I think you will find that that answer appeared in issue 142. I know this because it was me who put forward ...

Re: From The Forum 144 - Best Yu Suzuki game

Could it be Shenmue III....?

I like all his games. Each one is perfect for the technology it ran on at the time.

Re: From The Forum Issue 143 - 1942

yeah bit gutted about that. I think I also liked it because on each round I just hoped I would survive long enough to reach the aircraft carrier again; another game play feature that I hadn't experience prior to 1942.

Re: From The Forum Issue 143 - 1942

Been a way from the forum for a bit so missed this topic. Along with Rolling Thunder 1942 was one of my fav coin op back in the day. I first experienced it in a holiday camp in Barmouth Wales. The first time I played it I'm flying along shooting down planes and then from out of nowhere a giant boss ...

Re: Jean Michel Jarre Playstation 4 question.

Thanks for the reply and info Dj Carlos. I know sometimes artists tend to contribute to a project sometimes without actually acknowledging it's them (Vangelis for example did music for some adverts for David Puttman in the 80's) but as you say it's not online and someone is bound to post that he did...

Jean Michel Jarre Playstation 4 question.

I recently got a PS4 and noticed the ambient music that plays when you first use it sounds very similar to Jean Michel Jarre's 1990 track Waiting for Cousteau. Has Jarre been recently commissioned to do this music or is it that a composer down at Sony just happened to write in that particular style?
