And always be on the look out for Lynx versions of Lemmings. They can fetch up to 75 pounds and absolutely brilliant.

And make sure the d-pad and A-B keys are fully functional. They apparently aren't made from the best ..err.. stuff.

From what I saw in that video the scrolling was continuous and smooth, it didn't move in stop motion. Actually it's more like Lands of Lore, meaning it's tile based, but sporting the necessary frames to create an illusion of proper 3D. But, really, have a try: http://www.atariage.com/software_page....

Looks to me like they had the makings of solid FPS game for the Lynx. That doesn't make it anywhere near being "fully portable version of Doom" though, and the Gameboy could do a similar game but not as smooth moving. I'd say anything from 10£ for an unboxed console to 40£ for a boxed one complete with 3-4 games and a few extras is a good price. Seems like prices are subtly rising too...

Regarding the games subject, well, truth be said the Lynx might not have a ton of games available for it, but most were great, technically impressive and at times innovative. Top games that were either exclusive or started as a Lunx project -in my book and at such a late hour- are: Warbirds, Chip's ...

Always loved the Lynx, always thought it had some excellent games, though never quite used it as a portable gaming device. At least it was more portable than a computer, but still...

Apart from buying the SNK classics collection last week I've bought nothing for it in about 9 months. I wonder what us Wii owners have to look forward to (apart from Mad World, Overkill) this year? I would suggest: Broken Sword - Director's Cut Sam and Max Season 2 The GameCube re-releases (provide...
