Re: From the forum question for issue 64

Hmmm.... not a fan of the genre really, but I guess I'd go with Clive Barker's Undying.

Re: Why I hate Half-Life

Well, I see what you're talking about and -to a point- I agree. The HL story is indeed presented in an interesting and quite successful way. Not that it ever manages to reach the quality of System Shock or the amazing illusion of freedom that Deus Ex offered. As for why I didn't get myself immersed ...

Re: Why I hate Half-Life

Actually I neither hate nor love Half-Life. It's a really good and quite varied solid FPS, that felt rather fresh at the time and has aged gracefully. No problems here then. What really annoys me about it though is the fact that the gaming press seems to regard its banal, cliched, run of the mill b-...

Guess I'd just buy a gamepad and try to have my PC count as a console.

An amazing set of piccies if I ever saw one. Especially appalled by that Xbox 360 prototype, mind.

Re: Best Survival Horror Series?

The Alone in the Dark series is -the way I and apparently only I see it- still unsurpassed, provided of course we ignore anything after AitD 3.

Re: Atari Lynx - good or bad buy ?

Well, it's a nice collection, but it is indeed a bit overpriced. And really, why go for 2 Lynx II's or think that shrink wrapped gamer are that rare? I did buy 5 of them for 14 pounds last time I got myself some eBay Lynx goodies...

The Atari Lynx. It's the biggest and baddest of them all. Besides, you can play Chip's Challenge on it too.

Re: Sonic with a sword yay or nay?

I've stopped caring for Sonic ages ago, but this, well, it's just insulting. They could have at least given the hedgehog a lance, a horse and an Uzi and have him hunt zombie versions of all these ridiculous Sega characters. But, oh, no... They had to come up with a silly idea to shame all silly idea...

Another excellent issue. Especially enjoyed the Sega CD retroinspection and the Electronic Pencil Company bit. Oh, yes, the Pac-Man feature was quite impressive too. Well done! Again.

Re: Speccy level for Little Big Planet players.

Should be easy. Just remove a couple random chips. Alternatively you could program on of the cell processors to filter stuff in 4x4 px chunks.
