I've been using DOSshell by those, err, Loonies for quite some time. It's pretty ancient and doesn't feature lots of extras, but it does get the job done and runs Wing Commander, Alone in the Dark and Anvil of Dawn perfectly. Even managed a couple of old DOS demos. Excellent fun really, even though the average Warhammer miniature does cost as much as a mint condition Spectrum... Then again, I'm pretty sure pewter is far more expensive than silicon.

And I'm pretty sure there was a mention of Wings in the Amiga 500 retroinspection too. Only a few words of course, but better than nothing I guess.
