Re: What are you currently playing?

Also very much enjoying a new horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up called Earth Atlantis that has some really unique visuals. Got sent this for review today. The visuals are something else. The game got a bit dull long before I finished the main Quest mode. Kind of liked it overall. No bloody idea w...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Donkey Kong is a very nice surprise. I'll buy that.

Carcassonne was the only thing that really excited me on the Direct. I love that game.

Mario Party looks decent.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I was waiting on E3 to see if I should keep or sell my Switch. Now I just want to throw it in the bin. That was a terrible presentation. Worst one I've seen during E3.

Re: From The Forum issue 183 - Tetris: Best puzzler ever?

Tetris is good but gets a bit too intense later on and is super repetitive. Chime (Xbox 360) takes the concept and makes it a whole lot more interesting.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Im not sure how that works, but wont they just patch firmware and games to check for it being connected to the USB port? I know the Tegra exploit can't be stopped, but won't they stop something as simple as a USB connected device? I'm no expert but the claim is that you can boot into the custom fir...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Well Nintendo look a bit screwed. Team Xecuter's Switch dongle comes out in a couple of weeks and will run everything and can't be blocked by firmware updates. Eek!

Re: What are you currently playing?

Ranarama on the Speccy. Not as good as Quazatron but still pretty good to be fair.

Re: MAME - what do you use?

Old thread but I downloaded MAME again recently looking to get the latest version. One thing though, the interface now is really clunky. It looks like it is designed for cabinets. I prefer the classic old look where you got a lot more detail on the front end. On new MAME's frontend you can see 12 ti...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Riddled Corpses EX.

I've mostly played it on the PS4 (to get screenies for review) but it's cross-buy and the Vita version is very capable. No cross-save though. Decent but derivative rogue-like twin-stick shooter. I've put in like 12 hours and am still enjoying it.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Far Cry 5. Great game. Great ending. I finished this last week. Did you resist or comply? Whichever one you did you need to look up the opposite ending as they're radically different!! I loved every minute. I'm just mopping up the last few trophies for the platinum. Just in time for the dlc to star...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I can't stop playing Chime Sharp. Chime was my favourite 360 game and the sequel is currently in the PSN sale. I'm currently number 1 on a few leaderboards which is a bit mad.

Re: Retro Gamer issue 180

I appreciated the postmortem on Renegade 3 but I would have liked it to have been a bit more detailed and for it to have ended in a kicking.

I'd also have asked him if it was revenge for the pisspoor job Mike Lamb did on the last two levels of their Combat School conversion.
