Re: Grid Autosport

Got it for the 360 today, itching to get it on! I did like Grid 2, but it just lacked that little something - if Autosport is anywhere near as good as it looks, then it'll be another Codies racing game i'll adore. Played the career mode from start to finish without playing much else, on all Grid, Di...

Re: The Last of Us wins

Certainly didn't win for me. Didn't get on with it hugely, didn't really see the what the hype was all about. No doubt I'll give it another go at some point and change my mind. Uncharted 2 is unsurpassed as the greatest game from the last gen, bar none. GTA V was possibly the closest anything came. ...

Re: XB1 Owners / Collectors Thread

Been playing some Forza 5, while it plays well and looks good, I'm just finding it all a bit dull tbh. I found it slightly less dull than Forza 4, but I still feel it holds your hand through everything way too much. The dullness on 5 sets in when you have to do re-do the track for the 5th time in a...

Re: Odd Paypal query..

Thing is I can't change it. When the option comes up for changing payment on the confirmation screen, it only lists the debit card. I de-linked the ebay and paypal, and signed out, and it automatically went back to back transfer. Linked them again, and it's choosing card without the option for chang...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Packed week for gaming buys; I'm not sure (and am too lazy to check) the last time I posted here, so the last couple of weeks: Wii U: Mario Kart 8 Wind Waker HD as the free game Xbox One: Wolfenstein Occupied Edition Watch Dogs Vigilante Edition Xbox 360: F1 2013 Complete Edition Dirt Showdown Fuel ...

Odd Paypal query..

..well, not really a query, just something a bit odd I just noticed. When using Paypal, the preferred payment I've set is direct from Bank Account. The secondary is from Debit card (which is the card linked to the account anyway, so no actual difference). Usually, it just goes through normally as di...

Re: IGN's top 100 games (excluding handhelds) of last gen

It's not like a Top games list to cause arguments on this forum ;) For what it's worth, I quite like the list. Uncharted 2 deserves to be right up there, unparalleled best game of the last gen imo. Also would of liked to have seen at least one of the Codies racing games on there. Forum should make o...

Re: Mario Kart 8

And worst of all, I got absolutely caned by the RG'ers I played against last night ;)
(although RetroBob - you can get the stats up on screen to tell you the difference between the various vehicle components prior to the race)

Re: Mario Kart 8

Enjoying it, looks bloody fantastic, plays well, track design is excellent - but got to say I agree with both the Laird and Toxie. On the one hand, this is the first time I've played a Mario Kart game and thought one of it's 'copiers' was better. It just seems a little....boring, compared to Transfo...

Re: Today

Today my dad has had a suspected heart attack. Very touch and go this morning, but he's a lot better now, and I've just come home for some kip. Going to go in and sit with him tomorrow. I'm not sure the doctors were impressed for his request for his Drip to be replaced with Old Thumper!

Re: Watch Dogs

The driving doesn't feel right in the game. It is also very easy to make money and buy everything you can. It is fun but nothing special. I think Sleeping Dogs is a much better game, on PC anyway. There are some driver issues resulting in crashes on the PC version, hopefully they will be patched so...

Re: Watch Dogs

It's better than some of the reviews would have you believe. Talk of poor graphics and, more prominently, bad driving seem utterly misplaced as both seem great to me. It's very much GTA-like, but that's not a bad thing. Some neat touches, and i'm enjoying the digital trips a lot.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

How does ps plus work is it like games with gold where you keep said games for good or is it for as long as your a ps plus member Yep, just as long as you're a member. From what I remember, I've 'purchased' Sleeping Dogs, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Catherine, F1 Race Stars and Mass Effect 3 without act...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Ultra Slim/Slim... I didn't know there were 2 different revisions, somehow that slipped me by (and I sell them...). It's the Ultra Slim, looking at pictures on the web! Very nice though, so much quieter. Going to take an age to download all those PS plus games backlogged though. Other purchases this...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Finally, after several years, replaced my old 60 gig PS3. Not that it was in anyway broken (although it did seem to take an age to start up, the few times I have started it up the last year), but got my bonus from work and long service award in the same week so thought i'd treat myself; especially a...
