Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

GTA 2, Vanishing Point, Jedi Power Battles today in Super Tomato in Cardiff (sent the girlfriend in as she was there) Finally got around to visiting Super Tomato in Cathays, Cardiff. Didn't have long and needed a fun family game for a (probably rainy) holiday so grabbed a copy of California Games f...

Space Turnip's 2014 Trade/Sale thread

A few bits and pieces that I no longer need, ideally looking for trades on any of this (the wanted list is below), but open to selling stuff if not. On with the list! (I'll be adding to this in the next few days as I make decisions on items in the games room. Pictures also up soon) MASTER SYSTEM GAM...

Re: Inexplicable gaming possessions

The Lexibook Cyber Console - I sincerely believe this rivals the game.com as THE worst handheld ever. 200 games, all of them absolute turd and yet I can't get rid. Probably cos no-one wants it. . I have that too - one of the awful racing games had such awful music that it caused me to have a bangin...

Re: Inexplicable gaming possessions

Countless Japanese Dating, Visual Novel, RPG, board Game Dreamcast games. I've played some of them, with guides, but they still don't make much sense!

Re: What are you currently playing?

Grid Autosport on 360. Man, I do like the game a lot, but did they have to make the seasons so damn long? I can see how the game's single player could outstay it's welcome. Picked up some cheap 360 games to make my way through as well: Mud, V8 Supercars and Capcom Classics collection are the only on...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

After a few weeks without any games, I've splashed out a little today: Xbox console (to replace several broken ones I've ended up with) Japanese Saturn King of FIghters Best Collection (SAT) Vampire Savior (SAT) Rainbow Cotton (DC) Radirgy (DC) What's Shenmue? (DC) Bomber HeHe (DC) So now I can add ...

Re: Discovered Retro Favourites

Nearly all of my favourite games for the SNES, Saturn, N64, 3DO and PS1 are games I've found when they've been retro, as I simply didn't have any of the consoles when they were out. As a short list, I'd say Mass Destruction, Panzer Dragoon II, Guardian Heroes on the Saturn are probably the stand out...

Re: Bullcrap gaming stories you heard as a kid

Sensible World of Soccer coming out on the Mega Drive. Some kid said he'd played it and even though it was obviously untrue, it did make lot's of people wonder.
Oh, the kid was me. I'm not proud of it.

Re: Are You An Easy Mode Warrior?

I usually go for default difficulty, except for shmups, which i'll happily admit to playing on Very Easy or Child or This Game Is Too Hard For You levels, as frankly, I suck at them! Racing games are an odd one. Codies racing games I have to set to hard otherwise it just seems unbalanced, but with F...

Re: Name me your 5 favourite DC games..

Not necessarily my very best 5, but 5 of the best: Cosmic Smash : Stylish futuristic squash game. Highly addictive, great fun. Strumwind : By far the most impressive, at least visually, of the latest bunch of DC unlicensed releases. Also plays great, with awesome bosses. Power Stone 2 : Far more man...

Re: The Uncharted Series..

Aren't opinions great lol! ME is certainly no uncharted, but it's certainly not dull as ditchwater either (imo). Just not in the same league.. :P Well apparently you have to Hate or Love a series nowadays! I took immense pleasure from all 3 ME's, the Uncharted's, The Fallout's. None of them were du...

Re: The Uncharted Series..

Uncharted 2 is up there in my favourite games ever. Superb game, awesome presentation and pacing. Like the other 2, but Uncharted 3 did get tedious a bit early and the first wasn't quite as well realised as the series would become. Vita game was alright if a little shallow too. As for the comment on...

Re: Grid Autosport

And after racing the first few races (in a proper Touring car style as well - I can even set it to more than the Grid standard 3 laps!) I can say that anyone who wants a return to the TOCA style of all...will not be disappointed! Fantastic game! Few niggles here and there, but wooh!

Re: Your favourite game - by system

Tough one! I'll limit it to systems I've played a fair amount of games on, and will have to cheat and add honourable mentions too!: Master System: Alex Kidd in Miracle World ( hm: Micro Machines, Cosmic Spacehead, Fantastic Dizzy, Action Fighter ) Mega Drive: Micro Machines 96 (hm: Fantastic Dizzy, ...
