Re: XB1 Owners / Collectors Thread

I have it, enjoying it so far, multiplayer seems much better than Ghosts so far! ...but my Xboxone is now on the blink. Disc drive seems to be scratching (we...marking, rather than scratching) discs. Easy enough to get it swapped over for a new one, anyone know how convoluted the process if of trans...

Toy Racer was fairly dull in single player mode, yep, but at least it was colourful.
Ducati World and Spirit of Speed - awful, awful games. The first allows you to climb walls, the latter is just duller than anything else ever.

Re: What game (if any) would you give a 0%

Speed Devils (Dreamcast) - Really wanted to love this, but couldn't find a single thing to like about it. . Then I implore you not to try the re-released 'Online' version. Apart from the fact the online is now useless, the handling is literally atrocious. Turning circles on tanks would be better. I...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Zero Gunner 2 on the DC. Astonishingly good game! I've set myself the goal or playing and reviewing all the DC shmups by Christmas, but I fail to see how anything will top it. Only briefly played it before this week, but it will be some time before it leaves the DC.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Been a quiet week on the buying front, especially when compared to previous weeks, just a single current gen game so far Sunset Overdrive X1 - It's alright...I'm finding the music far more enjoyable than the game at the moment though. Reminds me a lot of Jet Set Radio though, which is no bad thing. ...

Re: PS4 Driveclub

I've settled down with Forza Horizon 2 now, and haven't been impressed with the Driveclub reviews, but now I'm starting to doubt myself. It's going to have to be pretty damn good to sway me away from Horizon though!

Shadow of Mordor (which is..okay) PS4
Shikigami no Shiro 2 Limited Edition DC (which is excellent!)

Re: New retro shop in bristol

So I've just been down to Ultimately Rare, nice little shop, excellent prices, fair few Games, Mags, comic books, Retro toys , owner was a nice guy, took some unwanted games off my hand and I even managed to snag an old Optimus Prime! Still clearly early days, but having a Retro shop 20 minutes down...

Re: New retro shop in bristol

I've just had a quick look at the site, facebook, video, looks very decent, and to have a Retro shop in Bristol is excellent. Doubtful they'll have the current things i'm after, but shall make a trip down either this afternoon or tomorrow as I'm off work to support a local shop.

+1 for Darran, for the exceedingly excellent delivery of Shikigami No Shiro II on DC. Just 3 shmups for the console left now!

Re: Space Turnip's 2014 Sale and trade thread

Yeah £15 is about the going price - one of my favourite MD games so in no major rush to see it go, but as always, willing to negotiate on the old price.

Re: Item you bought that revitalised a system for you.

2 items for the DC. 1st the VGA box. Totally transformed some games in my eyes. 2nd was the DC-X disc I happened across. Hadn't even dipped my toes in any non-PAL games to that point really, on any console, but it's opened up a whole new world of gaming (and even thought I have both a Japanese and U...
