Donkeyspank see my post above - the OED lists Programme as a list of instructions for a computer - and puts (program US spelling) in brackets after. In reality I think most of us write program, but apparently it's still officially programme.

A dead heat between Elite on my Amstrad 464 and Age on Empire PC - two immersive worlds that I spent WAY too much time visiting.

my criticism was not of the readers abilities (though all the published reviews so far have been fairly poor if I'm honest), but of the concept.

(I don't like Karaoke either  )

not sure what you dont get Kelp - I was pretty clear: it's a poor idea for a recurring feature with poor writing. good enough to be on the website maybe, but not in print. if you count this feature, the letters pages and some of the homebrew, then I'm paying each month for quite a few pages of amate...

Only just had a chance to properly read it, but I thought the issue was pretty good. Electron games are something new to me, so was chuffed with the retro-introspection. Also liked the Level 9 article as I didnt know much about this either (I'm not getting into the 'reprint' debate though!). ...

Mario Cart Wii and Super Mario Galaxy. They hype on both was incredible, but Mario Cart Wii is just poor, whilst Galaxy is too easy to be fun (and frankly platforming is a 2d art in my book).

my friend works for the company that distributed King of Kong in the UK - sad to report that sales were terrible - so it might be a while before we get another retro themed doc

I will no doubt be playing whatever game my wife kindly buys from my detailed list of 'possibles' (I can give you a better answer once it's below the tree and I can take a sneaky peak in a few weeks time  ).

I will also have a nostalgic session on Manic Miner

of all the retro consoles I've bought in the last couple of years, the N64 was one of the most disappointing. There's an essential blurryness to the graphics that I just dont like.
