Re: Axelay - Why it's a classic

It just looks and feels right, it offers playability, variety, excellent graphics and audio by the bucket load and its not rare or expensive (this week I bought a boxed & complete copy for the Super Famicom for just £8 + postage) so no shump loving SNES owner should be without it.

Re: First Impressions Axelay

My first impressions when I got my grubby mits on an Import copy as a kid, were WOW! amazing graphics, bosses and music. Ive just bought Axelay again and although yesterday was the first thime I had played the game in almost 17 years I still thought WOW! amazing graphics, bosses and music.

Re: Axelay - Best Boss

If I had been asked this question back in the day I would have said Wayler the fiery mech boss from the lava planet (Stage 5) without any hesitation. But now I actually prefer Arachnatron the spider mech boss from Cumuluses (Stage 1).

Re: Axelay - Best Level

Level 4 - The side scrolling under water cave. The tension in this level keeps you on the edge of your seat, which is due to the slower pace and the restricted movement which work beautifuly in combination with the darker graphical feel and the atomspheric flooded cave location. The music also deser...

Re: York retro?

I went in last week and they had a nice boxed speccy. Cant remember the st...

Re: Sega or Nintendo

For me both companys have had so many highlights it was almost impossible to pick either one over the other but I voted for Nintendo, and I cant put my finger on exactly why I prefer Nintendo, I just do.

Re: Favourite gaming magazines

My all time fave gaming mag is Super Play but back in the day I also enjoyed loads of other gaming mags esp Mean Machines and C+VG. These days I subscribe to Retro Gamer and buy the odd issue of Games TM and Edge. Ive just been reading Edge as I got a free issue through the post on Thursday morning,...

Arcades

Dont know if any of you guys...
