Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Was just browsing ebay last week, and saw a boxed Jap V-Saturn for £59 posted BIN. Snapped it up, and it arrived yesterday and it is totally mint. Haven't tried it yet mind, cos I can't find my step-down..... I was tempted by that but I already have a white Saturn and several pal Saturn's so I real...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3: GBA - Great game, I've played through the Super Famicom version several times but this is the first time I've played it on the GBA, really beautiful game, although personally I still prefer Super Mario world Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles: PSP - Its provi...

Re: Do you have too many games to play?

I'm a gamer not a collector but if I'm honest then I would have to say yes I have more games than I can play. I guess the main issues for me with being a retro gamer are: 1. I just don't have enough time, the older I get the less time I have to spend on gaming, so over time the games to play pile ke...

King of fighters 2002
Metal slug 3
Silent scope complete

I don't have that many Xbox games but I own all 3 of these and they are really enjoyable, although you really need a stick to get the most out of KOF 2002.

Re: shmups

I love shumps (I can understand why they are not everyone's cup of tea particularly the newer bullet hell titles) but for me they are one of the classic gaming genres along with platformers, one on one fighters, scrolling beat em ups and puzzle games.

Re: Games that aren't as good as you remember....

Golden Axe on the Sega Mega Drive. Back in the day it was the one of the first MD games I ever bought and I totally loved it. So naturally when I re bought a MD maybe 10 years or so ago it was one of the first games I really wanted to get hold of, although still fun, it certainly isn't as good as I ...

Re: Guilty Pleasures you own...

I guess mine would have to be the Sing Star games on the PS2, I have about half a dozen of them. My other half always thrashes me as she has quite a good voice, good fun but only after a few drinks.

Re: Anyone Use Their Retro Handhelds In Public?

I have a battered silver GBA SP which I keep in my work bag, which gets some love at lunch times. The only other handheld Ive used in public in recent years is one day when my car was in the garage and I had to catch the bus to work I took my DS to help pass the time but thats about it. IMO most ret...

This Hori Fighting Stick EX is the best stick I found for the first Xbox. I think I paid around £35ish a couple of years back for it.
I second that, its a good stick, sadly sold mine a few years ago :(

I've picked up the following bits over the last week or so Hacking Video Gaming Consoles by Ben Heckendorn - £4.99 + £4.99 P&P - ebay (The projects may be too complicated for me, My limits are a bit of console and stick modding but its a really interesting read none the less) SNK Neo Geo Pocket Colo...

Re: Who doesnt own a next gen console

I own a 360 & a Wii from this generation of home consoles.

I will pick up a PS3 at some point in the future but only when hardware prices fall even futher, I know there are some nice games for the PS3 but for me theres just not enough exclusive games that I really want to justify the price tag.

Re: the worst controller

I know it gets a lot of love but my worst controller/s are the the original playstation controller & also the dual Shock controller (well any of sony's controllers includng PSP) I just dont like they way they feel in my hands and I've never been able to get along with Sony D pads.
