Populous 2 on the Amiga.

I remember playing this all of the Xmas holidays, back in 199?

The pandora looks interesting.

The eePC would be a handful with an external controller!

Handheld Heaven?

Hopefully there are some handheld experts that can help me with this one. Basically I'm looking for a handheld console to play some amiga 500, snes, megadrive, pc engine retro games on. I'm happy to go with emulation or new releases and don't mind a bit of tinkering to config the machine. So what ar...

I would recommend both Masters of Doom and The Ultimate History of Video Games.

My fav is Masters of Doom, but that could be a programmer thing...

Looks very, very nice.

Just need books for Amiga and early PC (late 80s / early 90s) games! (hint hint)

Wow! Klax , Spindizzy , Eye of the Beholder and Ridge Racer ! I'm definitely looking forward to those! Plus infos about Star Wars games? Sounds like a great issue! Indeed! Inspired me to fire up klax on mame and lose a couple of hours. As a 1986 CGA PC was my first "gaming system", I think I'll hav...

So what issues does it cover?

Maybe if I'm really lucky we'll get some DOS games? Yes, I know DOOM was DOS, but was so successful that it was really multi-format. You might want to check out Total PC Gaming, which has three or four DOS/old PC titles covered each month in its Redux section. Will do. Turning to the dark side afte...

More computer coverage (rather than consoles, and excluding the PC), is always appreciated by me. Sorry replied to the previous post before seeing this PC bit... grrr! I want PC coverage, but of old DOS games. Probably in a small minority here, but does anyone remember the early Epic games (i.e. On...

I don't consider the Playstation to be retro, but I don't mind a few articles every so often. I find it a bit sad that there isn't much Amiga coverage, when that is much more retro than the PS. Exactly! :D I've been subscribing for 6 months now and am still awaiting some juicy Amige coverage. Maybe...

As for PC's there are the time before SVGA & 3D cards, before & after, like night and day in the sense on what one could do gamewise. And the crossover from DOS to Windows, with it's DirectX programming. But if you ask me, that is essentially what we have today and should not be part of RG, as it i...

if anything it is often historically important in terms of seeing where some of these amazing people first started out. Exactly! I was a member of a group in the "pc scene" many many years ago and even published an "ok" intro ( http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=4566 ). I also know that some of th...
