Re: Screenshot challenge.

Not 100% sure, but it's very battlezone-esque.

Re: PC Engine confusion

I had a Core Grafx II, but mine was black and blue (not red). Amazing to think that a 1990 console was the smallest ever.

R-Type, Bonk and a weird farting game (Chan and Chan?)

Re: Early '90s PC Gaming Magazine (Scans)

Yeah, great magazine! I had an old PC when I started buying the mag, but after some serious saving purchased an Amiga. Happy days...

Re: Early '90s PC Gaming Magazine (Scans)

While browsing some online scans of The One magazine I was reminded of a PC games magazine I used to buy. It was unique at the time as the PC wasn't really viewed as a games machine, and the PC wasn't even that popular in the UK. Does anyone know of a site with scans of old PC mags? PC Games, PC Pl...

Re: Is OnLive the next Nuon, or the start of a new era?

I guess it's just another technology that's going to take advantage of "the cloud". How many times will software move back and forth between running on the client or the server??? The input lag sounds like a serious issue, especially as it'll have to use a guaranteed delivery mechanism. Howev...

Re:

Just finished reading the masters of Doom book. A good read very interesting it fills in a lot of the Doom back story Fantastic book, although it makes id's work sound easy. I remember showing my non-PC owning mates DOOM on my new 486... no one ever doubted the PC as a games machine after that! :tw...

Re: Is anyone Retro only?

I didn't have anything current gen up until about a year ago, but I think to be a gamer as a hobby you really need to keep your finger on the pulse else you're going to be left behind in the dark ages of the past. At the end of the day it's about fun and entertainment. I enjoy Megadrive/SNES/Amiga ...

Re: Official feedback for issue 62

I'm looking into this right now. ONe of the biggest problems with have with these old machines is actually getting our hands on them, or finding someone with enough knowledge on them. Sorry that you didn't enjoy this issue as much Boyo, but others have said it's their favourite yet, so I guess it's...

Re: Official feedback for issue 62

I would love to read about some of the other systems like the Memotech, Jupiter Ace, Sam Coupe etc. Also a look back on gaming on the PC pre 3D Graphics cards. Then maybe a look back on the early 3D cards and how they changed PC gaming - I was an early owner of a 3D Blaster card and playing Quake f...
