Re: Tracking lateness

The last few issues to mainland Europe were shipped through Hungary, which is already somewhat weird and clearly has worsened the delivery times for most countries - Norway seems the strange exception to the rule, since Northway is getting his subscription _much_ faster than anyone else outside the ...

Re: Tracking lateness

My theory is that everyone at Future is so busy sending daily "buy something on our website before the offers are gone!" emails along with snail mail reminders to renew subscriptions that they have no time to bother with clearly nowhere near as important things like issues taking a month to arrive i...

Re: Tracking lateness

Fortunately the magazine doesn't get old even though it arrives very late. But it's still not an excuse - and I'm not very happy about the fact that no one from the subscriptions department is taking part in this discussion. After all, getting the magazines to the readers as fast as possible should...

Re: Tracking lateness

Oh, hey... semms like it's finally Germany's turn, as issue #179 is starting tu turn up here - got my copy today (again routed through Hungary as "standard", while Edge is "priority" and takes half the time), so based on previous experiences, it should show up for others as well. Is there some sort ...

Re: Tracking lateness

Also still waiting for 179 in Germany, sadly to nig big surprise. So that'll be the second issue after 177 that will arrive (if it eventually does) when the next one is already on sale - so the relative "speed" of 178 (three weeks) was just a blib then. For comparison: The current issue of Edge took...

Re: Tracking lateness

Well, great, it's that time of the month again... Just today, the current issue of Edge showed up at my place (routed through Hungary) - while the current issue of Retro Gamer (which hit stores one week earlier) once again is still nowhere to be seen so far. So we're at three weeks and counting for ...

Re: Tracking lateness

Also, is there any living, valid e-mail address where I can write my hatemails about this fucked up, messed up shitfest? The previous one (retrogamer@servicehelpline.co.uk) doesn't seem to work for me. Or I got blacklisted, again. I think that's the one from way back when Imagine was still alive, s...

Re: Tracking lateness

Reasonably pleasant surprise:

Issue #178 arrived today in Germany, so it's taken only three weeks since the store date - obviously still way too slow, but at least this times it's here before the next issue is out.

Postage label says that this time it was routed through Budapest, Hungary...

Re: Tracking lateness

So it's time for another update: Retro Gamer 178 (store date Feb 22nd) - hasn't arrived yet in Germany Edge 317 (store date Mar 1st) - has arrived today in Germany despite being sent out a week later (still took almost two weeks, i.e. that's slow) This is the at least the second month in a row this ...

Re: Tracking lateness

The only option I have now is waiting to win the lottery so I can afford to buy every Retro Gamer magazine from eBay because eBay is way more reliable than the official subscription. In 2018!!! A-freakin-mazing. I haven't checked if the option is actually available for Hungary, but if it is: Have y...

Re: Tracking lateness

And if you read the thread properly, you would see Antiriad's suggestion that a UK SUBSCRIBER post the date they receive their copy as a comparison. There was no mocking, no bias against people overseas and certainly no intent to upset anyone. I'll give you that I indeed overlooked that, though I o...

Re: Tracking lateness

#178 arrived in my mailbox in Norway 1st March. Newsagent update when available. Careful now, you don't want Weblaus on the attack ;) Boy, are you a funny one. I'll certainly not miss that kind of humor when you'll have left. But I'll explain it nice and slow so you might understand it: As Northway...

Re: Tracking lateness

I'm almost lost for words - issue #177 has finally started to arrive in Germany, I got mine today, just 4 weeks and 4 days after the store date. And at the very same day with the copy I ordered on the website last Wednesday.

I should start a betting pool when the current issue will show up.

Re: Tracking lateness

That's just weird - I think my issue is shipped to Norway either from Germany or Netherland so it should show up later for me than you. You'd think that should be the case, but for whatever reason (saving money, most likely) the routing to German customers seems to go through Austria and the Austri...

Re: Tracking lateness

ISSUE 178 Due in shops Thursday 22nd February My subscriber copy arrived 22nd February That really is very helpful, thank you. /s I'm sorry, but surely you can see how such a post in a thread that was explicitely set up to "to track lateness of delivery for overseas issues" (see first post) feels l...
