I got number 184 yesterday (2018-08-24).
Could you let us know about what country we're talking? Without a location that information is of limited use, I'm sure you understand.

Re: Subscriber Covers

I'm also not a fan of the subscription covers. Usually, the chosen image isn't exactly attractive and I find it really annoying that the issue number has been dropped from the front. While it has always been unneccessarily small next to the barcode, now all that's left is the indication on the spine...

Re: Tracking lateness

So finally issue #183 has arrived at my place - again routed through Hungary and actually pretty fast compared to before, yet I still wonder why it took alsot a week longer than for the northern half of Germany. So for issues released in 2018 so far, this is how long it took to reach Germany (the so...

Re: Tracking lateness

So still no issue 183 in Bavaria, while the North and West of Germany apparently has it since Saturday - and it's not just my copy, I know of two more subscribers having the same problem. While I'm happy for the ones who finally got their issue in a reasonable timeframe which hadn't been the case fo...

Re: Tracking lateness

Well, that's great... I'm told from others in Northern / Middle Germany that they have received issue 183 on Saturday already (i.e. lightning fast for once), but sitting here in Bavaria, there's still nothing as of Tuesday's delivery. Which has me rather worried as that's highly unusual for postal s...

Re: Tracking lateness

And as an oddity: EDGE #321 arrived today, seemingly direct from Praha. So Future seems to have more than one standard... Until a while ago routing went through Austria, then I got one or two issues through Prague (I think) and then it went through Hungary for the last few months - so there's indee...

Re: Tracking lateness

I sense a major disturbance in the force, as issue #182 dropped in my mailbox today - which is almost too good to believe, as that's close to the time it took back in the golden Imagine days. Hopefully that positive trend keeps going... next up: will I receive the first issue of my new subscription ...

Re: Tracking lateness

I'm kind of flabbergasted - issue #181 has started to arrive in Germany as of today, which I'd never have though possible after the last few months. Still took significantly longer than my Edge subscription once again, but obviously a massive improvement compared to most of the rest of the year. Now...

Re: Tracking lateness

So I sealed palstic bag arrived today from Future... ...which had the latest issue of Edge in it. Which was released a week after the latest issue of Retro Gamer. That makes the third or fourth month now that Edge has taken around two weeks to arrive, while in the same time period Retro Gamer has ta...

Re: Tracking lateness

#181 zoned into my mailbox today the 28th (Monday is an odd day for RG - it typically arrives on Thursdays). BTW, as usual the internal Norwegian mail is priority, but that is by Norwegian Mail and only the domestic part. Also note that I'm on a "rest of the world" subscription IIRC. I don't know w...

Re: Tracking lateness

"There is no routing difference between any title - they all follow the same carriers and routings. It's not title specific. I'm well aware that all of this is stuff that the editorial side is not involved in, but that statement simply can't be completely true. As I have written a few times now, I ...

Re: Tracking lateness

Oh hey, it's time for a minor miracle: issue #180 has started to show up on Germany as of today! At least in the southern part (Bavaria), I have no feedback from my fellow sufferers in the north yet. So for issues released in 2018 so far, this is how long it took to reach Germany from the UK on sale...

Re: Tracking lateness

The last few issues to mainland Europe were shipped through Hungary, which is already somewhat weird and clearly has worsened the delivery times for most countries - Norway seems the strange exception to the rule, since Northway is getting his subscription _much_ faster than anyone else outside the ...

Re: Tracking lateness

My theory is that everyone at Future is so busy sending daily "buy something on our website before the offers are gone!" emails along with snail mail reminders to renew subscriptions that they have no time to bother with clearly nowhere near as important things like issues taking a month to arrive i...

Re: Tracking lateness

Fortunately the magazine doesn't get old even though it arrives very late. But it's still not an excuse - and I'm not very happy about the fact that no one from the subscriptions department is taking part in this discussion. After all, getting the magazines to the readers as fast as possible should...
