Re: Tv show turned game

Fun with a few folk at the house but it seemed like there weren't enough questions. We only played it a handful of times and started to get repeats. The 1st version of Millionaire on all platforms didn't support memory cards - how crap was that? It meant you were bound to get repeat questions quite...

Dragon Blaze for PS2. PAL version with TATE, 60Hz and save - one of a fair number of shmups that got proper PAL treatment on the PS2. This one has particularly lovely graphics.

Plok has been mentioned by he's seconded by me. Great limb throwing action - masterful soundtrack too from Follin.

Re: Super Mario All-Stars coming to Wii

The NES games got a great makeover for all-stars. The games looked (still look) great in this compilation. They also tweaked the gameplay - on SMB1 you alternate turns after a life loss OR level completion. You also get the time bonus on the castle (x-4) levels that you didn't get in the NES origina...

Re: Official feedback thread for Retro Gamer 79

Loved this issue. I'm a big fan of most of the games that got attention - particularly Rainbow Islands and Lunar Lander - can remember playing that in the arcade. I've given RG a miss the last while but I'm seriously thinking of subbing now. Re the Rainbow Islands article - I'm surprised the Bubble ...

Re: Guilty Pleasures you own...

All of the console Mario Party Games except for number 3 which is pretty expensive complete. I just can't resist this series.

I also have a weakness for casino games - Caeser's Palace 2000 for the Dreamcast is a favourite.

Re: Kindle version

I've had a Kindle since Christmas - got the international version. The screen is stunning and I now do most my reading on it. if you email a pdf to a personalised email address you get with your Kindle it will be converted and either auto-loaded onto your Kindle for a "small charge" or emailed back ...

Re: Wii party games.

Another mention for Wii Sports Resort, Mario/Sonic @ Olympics, and either of the Bloom Blox games. Let's Tap is great - the race game is loads of fun - and its going really cheap in HMV in=store. You'll probably get Samba de Amigo cheap - its good - despite moans about the sensitivity I've never had...

Re: The Nintendo 64

The OP wanted some more multi=player N64 games = a few with 4 player modes I haven't seen mentioned so far:- Bust=a=move 3 - though you will need a big TV as the graphics are tiny. Mario Golf Mystical Ninja 2 - I have heard it has a 4 player mode that is unlocked on completion - good luck trying as ...

Re: Best Version of Tetris?

The original GB version is great - played it a lot. Played a lot of NES and N64 Tetris too and they are both very good. But my current champ is Tetris Party on WiiWare. The control is spot on, has load of original modes for up to 4 players that are actually worth playing (including a pretty good 2 p...

Re: Classic 32-bit Racers

Someone mentioned Wipeout 3se earlier - another vote for that. It got a top drawer PAL conversion - full screen - and even features 16:9 or 4:3 support!! Has link up and split screen modes too. Ridge Racer 4 is a splendid game too on PS1. Another fan for Sega Rally on Saturn - looks a bit gritty now...
