Mike and the Mechanics was a side band for Mike Rutherford of Genesis was it not? The lead singer of Mike and the mechanics died a couple of years ago so I suspect thats the end of them. Did some pretty decent songs if you like "non-more-eighties" stuff and I'm in the right place to find one or two ...

Oh dear. I thought it was a pretty terrible film. In fact, it was so bad it was entertaining, a bit like Fortress or Robot Jox. The bit at the end where the main bad guy (Lance Hendrickson) decides to empty out the powder of a grenade instead of jst .. I dunno... chucking it away. Laughable. Cyborg ...

Sounds like an honest mistake to me which can happen very easily. It's happened to all of us before which is why we all get into the habbit of checking the disc is correct and doesn't look like it's been used as a tomorrows world demonstration. Still, we all forget once and of course sods law and al...

Halo 3 for me. I really liked Halo one, I was looking forward to Halo 2 but it was a bit of a mess (dodgy frame rate and it seemed unfinished in places) and it was overshadowed by the release of Half-Life 2 on the PC (I played Halo 2 on the x-box). Halo 3.... Looked great in places and terrible in o...

Captive! And I most certainly was, playing it for hours on end. My first ever experience of RSI, clicking the mouse button a millions times and hour! Escaping after setting off the explosion was always the bit that did for me, my sense of direction is so poor I easily get lost in my own back garden ...

Oh dear. Not sure how anyone can say an entire genre of music is crap (unles they are talking about country and western which is clearly the work of satan*). Rap is like every other music, it has good and bad examples. I agree with the spirit of the thread though that there is a lot more bad rap tha...

Don't know if I could say they changed my life but they certainly changed my outlook on music... Queen II - Queen: Amazing and extermely complicated at the same time. Wish You where Here - Pink Floyd: First Pink Floyd I ever heard and it opened my eyes... man. Etc. Earth Versus the Wildhearts - The ...

Left4Dead is an amazing game but certainly co-op orientated. I love it! Farcry 2 drove me mental, it looks fantastic but the respawning drove me to distraction. There are only so many times I can have the same fight in the same place before I lose interest. It LOOKS amazing though. Halo 3 is decided...

Tony, how does it feel being elevated to the level of a demi-god with all encompassing powers as a direct result of creating Captive? Does the pressure of all that responsibility bestowed upon someone with great power get to you or is it something you wave aside with an imperious hand?

Right then! Always looking for a reason to vent my spleen (what does that actually mean anyway?). Any games that do any of the following will be immediately frisbee'd or coastered depending upon my mood. Un-skippable cut scenes: Unforgivable game design and sure to launch me into an unspeakable rage...

For me it's often smells. Smelling new plastic always reminds me of my spectrum (as does boiled cabbage for some odd reason). Music is the big one. When I hear a song from the 80's I am always transported back wibbly screen style to whatever I was playing as a kid when the song was on the radio. It'...

Look at my avatar! LOOK AT IT!! Gaze into the face of one of the greatest characters of all time. In another life he could easily have been a romantic lead. Starring, as he did, in an isometric world populated by battle robots and maintenance droids, he rose to the challange. Indeed, if it wasn't fo...

Clearly the Shadow ships from babylon 5 are the best ships ever.

Starfleet! Great music.
I rather liked the music to Terrorhawks as well. No idea why.

Best 80's theme has to be Airwolf.
You can get none-more-eighties.
