Another intellectual leap there :D
However if it preserves democracy as we know it, I'll concede and allow Knight Lore's inclusion.

Re: The worse game in the world ever, Round 1 Heat A

If everyone just picked a game they didn't like, rather than thinking about truly atrocious games, then the whole system falls down. Lots of people don't like Ocarina of Time, or Halo or Half Life, or Doom etc. etc. but they are clearly not the worst games in the world ever. If everybody nominated ...

Re: The worse game in the world ever, Round 1 Heat A

What does surprise me is the number of people getting their panties in a wad over someone's opinion of a game, if you don't think it should be on a list....there's 9 others you can vote for in this heat & 99 others altogether. I'm not getting my panties in any wad... and I do understand what a 'hea...

Re: The worse game in the world ever, Round 1 Heat A

How on earth can Knight Lore be one of the worst games ever? Ridiculous. Knight Lore???? Really? There are thousands and thousands of Spectrum games worse than Knight Lore (nearly all Spectrum games in my opinion) but even if you don't like the game, it's quite clearly not one of the worst games ev...

Re: Franchises/Series' that haven't let you down

I'd say the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series.
Enjoyed every version of that - even though Tie Fighter was in my opinion far superior to the others, they were all still fantastic games.

Surely it's time for a new version.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 111 - Feedback Thread

Got mine today, looks really good.
Looking forward to spending some time reading it.

Never played Carrier Command or Lode Runner, but will enjoy being educated about them.
Will post more detailed feedback when I've actually read it, and have something constructive to add.

Re: It's official - NEW ELITE IS A GO

Can I ask a (probably) stupid question?
Will the finished game be generally released, or just distributed to those who pledged? I'm sure it's the former but I'm just not completely sure how this Kickstarter business works.

Re: From The Forum issue 112 Mega Drive

Predictably Sonic 2. I missed the boat with Sonic 1, and it just passed me by unnoticed. Then I saw my nieces playing Sonic 2 at my sisters house one Christmas, and it completely blew me away. The smoothness of the scrolling was astounding. Sonic 2 is one of those games I still play today, and is th...

Re: Greatest Power-Ups of all time

Myself I always liked the Blue Flower in Sabre Wulf.
It not only turned you blue, but made you invincible, and you ran really fast too.
Think I had a poke that meant you could be blue flowered all the time, made the game quite easy though.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 109 Official Feedback

Must have been just me then! I was a QAOP and space bar guy so the speccy key configuration with all the keys on one row seemed a right pain. I don't recall this being as much an issue in the isometric games but they still could have been better. Never allowed you to redo the keys. It wasn't just y...

Re: WHO ARE THE MODS?

Don't get me wrong, I actually think this forum is pretty smooth running, and seems to me (in my limited experience) very well modded. As you say they obviously have to make difficult choices sometimes... myself I'd just press delete rather than edit though. But then I'm not (and not likely to ever ...
