Re: First game you couldn't put down?

Moon Alert on the ZX Spectrum.
It's the first game I remember getting up early to play before school, and then playing as soon as I got home from school... For weeks on end I think too. Never finished it though.

Re: ET Graveyard to be excavated!

They won't find anything other than a load of broken old computer parts and some crushed ROM chips. This urban myth was debunked years ago and covered in detail in the recent Atari book. One so called "reputable" retro gaming site has even reported that there are long lost protos in there to be dis...

ET Graveyard to be excavated!

Someone showed me this piece of interesting news... http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a486364/et-cartridge-graveyard-to-be-excavated.html I hope it is true and they find them all... would like to see that. It's a p-poor game, but probably not the worst ever... I've got it for the Atari VCS and...

Re: A cheap Android tablet that is any good?

Thanks for the responses.
Pretty much did think that you get what you pay for, but was hoping someone had really good experience with really cheap tablet.

Archos one looks good, but as you say back up to £80 on Tesco's... does have good reviews though. May be worth investigating.
Thanks again.

A cheap Android tablet that is any good?

I currently have an iPad, but wish to dip my toe in the Android world. What is the cheapest Android tablet anyone owns that is actually any good? Amazon are currently selling some Allwinner make Android tablets for £37 but they must be rubbish, right? I am aware there have been similar topics in the...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

David Bowie - Scary Monsters I caught a bit of Robert Fripp on Celebrity Mr and Mrs last night whilst channel surfing. I thought Robert Fripp is on Mr and Mrs??? What has the world come to. The genius guitarist from Heroes and Scary Monsters is on Celebrity Mr and Mrs! Had to relisten to the albums ...

Re: What's your quick game?

Donkey Kong, and it is always quick too, as much as I love it, in 30 years of playing it I've never got past level 3... I'm a very poorly skilled gamer.

Re: Funhouse and Knightmare

Thumbs up to Knightmare, will be giving Fun House a miss though, never could get over Pat Sharp... it always seemed to me (probably wrongly) to be a bit like Cheggers Plays Pop, which I didn't like either.

Re: "wii u dead already"

Apparently no new Star Wars games for the Wii U either, according to the man from EA... not that Star Wars games have been any good for years, but in terms of sales to the general public I bet it is a big loss. It's a shame as I quite like the look of the Wii U, and was almost tempted to buy one rec...

Re: From the forum issue 117 Best Master System game

Haven't played vast numbers as I bought my Master System from a car boot in 2001 but I think that one with a fox in it - not Sonic 2, but the one where the fox was a lead character... Psycho Fox I think it was called.
Bought it cheap in the early 2000's from Gamestation and really enjoyed it.

Re: Windows 8 - the good & the Bad

I upgraded my Windows 7 laptop to Windows 8, and have to say it's okay, but in my opinion not as good as Windows 7 it replaced, which is a little bit damning. Really don't like the Metro stuff, hate having to drop back into a Window 7-a-like desktop (which is where most of the programs I use on my l...

Re: Worst Game in the world, Round 1, Heat E

The ARCADE version of Pit Fighter??? The ARCADE version? That's not even in the top five worst versions of Pit Fighter never mind the worst game of all time. As for that football game, never played it, but it has two five star reviews on Amazon. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Midas-Interactive-Football-Ge...
