Re: Official feedback for ISSUE 61

Right I think it's time that we went back to feedback. It's obvious that just like any new thing in the mag there are going to be people who love or hate it, so let's go back to discussing what's in the mag this month :) All I will say is this. I've managed to keep this mag going now for 43 issues ...

Re: Official feedback for ISSUE 61

Still think a dedicated mobile section is b*ll*cks. We've already got a section that covers handheld stuff, why not just include them as part of that as and when, why do they need their own dedicated feature when they are such a deeply niche market in an already very niche hobby. By the same score ...

Re: Official feedback for ISSUE 61

Fair enough, I - sort of - stand corrected. To be fair to my argument the article makes little mention of the iPod Touch, just the iPhone. And similarly RetroRated only mentions the iPhone. I wasn't dismissing it as a platform, but just saying it wasn't retro in itself. I don't remember an article i...

Re: Official feedback for ISSUE 61

Just got home to find my issue on the mat! Flicking through it it seems more enjoyable to me than issue 60, a better mix of 80's and 90's retro.... Only one gripe, I'm not sure about the iPhone article, it's not really retro is it. Yes you can play old games on it, but I can do that on the PC, PS/2,...

Why 1995 as a start date? Surely it should either be a modern games site, with a link to this retro gamer site... or it should encompass all games. A strange 14 year cut off date doesn't add up. Or are you scared that if you include any earlier stuff you'll alienate people that think gaming started ...

but hey you can have sonic 1 and 2 if you dont already have them or the Sega Genesis Collection or the Sonic Mega Collection. Exactly my earlier point. There's nothing here that hasn't been seen many times before. I'm afraid it is a bit of a yawn. I'm not the most avid Mega Drive collector and I ow...

If I had to pick one though it'd be Sonic 2... or Space Harrier... oops, sorry that's two!

Sonic 2 definitely. More sophisticated than the original, but not as many characters or bloated levels as its followers!

To be fair I can't see anything there that hasn't been on countless compilations before. I can't really see the point. Any true Mega Drive retro fan will surely either have the originals, the illegal roms, or a previous PS2 etc compilation. Don't get me wrong there's a lot of great retro joy there, ...

And do we really need to hear every single feckin story that Atari E.T guy can remember? It's lkike the videogame version of Uncle Albert. I wholeheartedly agree with this. He's only really got two stories. One about ET, Raiders and Steven Spielberg, and the other about how Atari programmers got dr...

I think I'm in the minority here, but I preferred the old RG. That's not to say I begrudge anyone enjoying the new RG, but personal preference is for the more in depth articles, and the more 8 bit bias. Certainly I find myself re-reading the old magazines more. As I've mentioned on another topic I d...

I'd prefer more 70's and less 90's articles if possible :D I tend to agree... I'd be more interested in the 70's than the 90's. But then it's just a personal opinion, and others will disagree. As long as there is a good mix that's all that matters to me... I may be alone here, but the last issue of...
