Re: New retro gamer website feedback

Have watched your video... so I understand how to setup a new Retrobate Profile... I still don't see where I can login to my new Retrobate profile though? I've clicked on Retrobate, but it just takes me to a list of the current Retrobates (about 6 people, all staff). I do find the website is quite u...

Re: New retro gamer website feedback

If they to salvage the reviews and comments... will you still be avoiding it? It could be with us for years to come! Probably. Part of what i liked about the website (the community etc) has gone. It's probably a good time to leave, life has thrown up lots of other things to occupy my time lately. I...

Re: New retro gamer website feedback

Well, although it should have been more prominent, I do remember reading that some stuff wouldn't make it over to the new site.... and here is the thread, http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47203 Oh okay, fair enough...must have missed that. Don't always read the forum, which is wh...

Re: New retro gamer website feedback

It's fair enough that websites come and go, that's progress i suppose. Would have been nice to have a bit of a warning though. You'll find it difficult to set up a retrobate profile on the new website, as from what i can see there are none. All game review entries are now made by anyone, rather than...

Re: New retro gamer website feedback

You're right it does seem really slow, i thought it was just my connection. Agree with your other comment though, the old community has been completely destroyed and I don't really know why. Imagine if one day the same thing happens on this forum, you turn on and your login and username no longer ex...

Re: New retro gamer website feedback

It looks good, clearly a lot of work has gone into it. Also it's great to see the website has not been forgotten. It is however not for me. Really sad that our old profiles have just been wiped, even sadder that comments on games haven't been preserved. It was the comment discussions that made the w...

Re: Teenager pays £450 for XboxOne photo

I don't understand how he got his money back? It clearly said it was a photo, and he got a photo. It was as described. Have you seen the photo? It looks like it was printed on plain paper on an inkjet that had last had the cartridge changed about 5 years ago. Even if you'd been knowingly buying it ...

Re: From the forum issue 124 - Favourite Activision game

Definitely Pitfall.
Spent hours playing it... Oh wait I've never actually played Pitfall, it was Cuthbert in the Jungle on the Dragon 32 at my friends house.
Complete rip off of Pitfall, but played well.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 123

For me the last few issues of RG have been my least favourite for a while. Not RG's fault, just not to my personal tastes. Enjoyed the Stonkers article (although it was too short) and the Salamander article (again too short though), but the rest not so much. Also no Christmas cover or articles was a...

Re: Goodbye Iain Lee!

Never been a big fan of Iain Lee.
To be fair some of his more recent columns have been mildly diverting, but on the whole I haven't enjoyed his 'retro celebrity' views.
I wish him well for the future but am not sorry that he won't be in the magazine anymore.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Currently obsessed with Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix 2, via DosBox. Had forgotten how good this game was, much prefer it to Grand Prix 3 or 4 which I felt were not as much fun. The joy of simply starting a race, then veering across somebody else, causing a massive accident and then replaying it from m...
