Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 125

Just arrived and looks an okay issue, if not one that ties in completely with my tastes... I'll reserve judgement though till I've read some of it. However one quote stands out for me on the Introducing Retro Gamer 2.0 article... 'We're proud of the communities we have at Retro Gamer, so we wanted t...

Re: Important Arcade machines

You obviously missed the part when I already told you when it was released, just like you somehow missed the Ms. Pacman explanation. But then quite a few people in this thread are repeating information already posted so I guess it just proves that a lot of people don't read threads properly before ...

Agreed
And so say we all/agreed/raises had..etc

I'll get ball rolling...i've seen it listed as June 1982 by Atari under license from Sun Electronics.
Then it's a win for Ms. Pac Man, even if she started life as a bloke.

Re: Important Arcade machines

I can't see why it makes a difference why and how it was written. Lots of games have strange beginnings. January 13th 1982 was Ms. Pac Man's official release date in the US. We need to know the exact date of Kangaroo's release so this can be sorted once and for all... I'm quite happy to be proved w...

Re: Important Arcade machines

Kangaroo (1982, Atari) - First game with a female protagonist. Surely Ms.Pac Man was first (according to the ever reliable Wikipedia it was released on January 13 1982)... when was Kangaroo released? The same month but people consider Kangaroo to be first as Ms. Pacman started life as an illegal ha...

Re: Modded Xbox... where to acquire one?

Here's where I'll show my ignorance... does a soft modded one still play MAME etc. without fuss? Is it a lesser option to hard modding?
I'm interested though, if you PM me with the details and how much you want for it that would be excellent.

Re: Bluetooth Spectrum Keyboard

i'm not a huge fan of Elite's oddly random approach to selling old speccy games - this looks like fun - but 'new' retro hardware has left us down time after time... I quite agree with you on Elite's use of Spectrum games... so confusing. Why are some in Packs and some single games? It all seems a b...

Re: From the forum issue 126 - Favourite isometric games

I'm a bit confused now... what is the difference between an isometric game or an isometric adventure? And what have some people missed? Me personally I could only ever pick Knight Lore as my favourite isometric game... that game just changed how I viewed computers games. The first room I went in I ...

Modded Xbox... where to acquire one?

I have a hankering to get an original Xbox, modded to play emulators (particularly Mame). Have looked on the eBay but it has just confused me... all the sellers seem to try to hide the fact that their Xboxes are modded, because obviously its against eBay's rules. Have no idea what to look out for in...
