Re: Megadrive Collectors Thread
Kicking myself. Totally forgot that I went into G-Force in Glasgow last week (whilst skint), and saw someone's entire Megadrive collection for sale. Thunderforce 2, 3 and 4 and a boxed Virtua Racer were the ones that stood out, can't remember the others but they were bigguns.

Re: Replayed, and completed Halo Reach Yesterday...
I had already completed them all on Legendary, before I played through them all on Legendary AGAIN on the 360, as I was told that to get the wee "HALO" emblem on your in game tag in "Reach", you had to do so. More fool me...:x As for what I think of them; Halo: The Library section is boring and repe...

Re: I finally finished making my game (and it's online!)
Top job there. Gave it a quick try for a few minutes, seems well written though I've not done much yet. Nice to see you've included a swear filter. Memory was perhaps an issue, but I always enjoyed the creative responses the Delta 4 team would come up with for those. Found a few typos if you're bug...

I finally finished making my game (and it's online!)
I've been hesitant to broadcast it too loudly for fear of it breaching copyright (it's a "pseudo-sequel" to one my favourite films), but the Spectrum text adventure I've been working on for two and a bit years finally reached completion a few months ago...may I present "The Wicker Woman". http://www...

Re: Shooting Stars canceled
I liked Angelous. He was the breath of fresh air the program needed. Just looking at his vacant expression made me laugh. At least BBC Scotland are giving new comedies a chance; Burnistoun, Gary: Tank Commander and Limmy's Show are all good in their own ways, even if they can be a bit localised in t...

But now that I think of it, I like Midway Arcade Treasures 1, Taito Classics 1, Capcom Classic 1 and SNK Arcade Classics. They all get a regular airing.

Re: Games that impressed your parents
After my dad passed away, I was told that he enjoyed playing Space Invaders on a cocktail cab down his local. Never played games again after that, as far as I'm aware.
My mum remembers enjoying Crazy Cavey on the Vic 20, but she only plays solitaire nowadays.

I'll be lucky if a game lasts me a couple of days, so yeah, I rent them out. used to rent games in the n64 days but these days i just buy them used I used to rent N64 games from my local Global Video: thanks to the in-cart saves, I had a hi-score battle on 1080 Snowboarding and another game with som...

Re: Halo: Reach matchmaking annoyance.
I was playing it last night, and decided to try Action Sack again...and had a great time. I think it might be because the games don't seem too "important" if that makes sense. I didn't even mind losing (I was usually "MVP" anyhow). The only minor bug-bear I have is that "3 Ball" game on Haemorrage.....

Re: Halo: Reach matchmaking annoyance.
I flew off the handle tonight after a brief session of Reach (I wasn't on it for long). I was robbed blind. I ended up going back to Halo 3 with my friend; suffice to say there wasn't as much Effing and Ceeing. It was actually a lot more relaxing, and I didn't mind as much when we lost.
