Re: The RGF Shmup League - Season #3: Guwange

I'll probably skip this week. For me one of the joys of the shmup genre is watching numbers going up and seeing previous records broken. Having to translate scores kinda negates that feeling.

The game is excellent though.

Re: The RGF Shmup League - Season #3: Guwange

Are there any non-japanese roms of this one?

I can't understand what going on and there isn't even time for a snapshot of the score before the continue screen

Re: From the forum question for issue 64

Painkiller. This kind of Robotron/Smash TV meet FPS kind of games should be done more often. This one has amazing playbility, looks great, and has some depth to it.

yes, i noticed after that is the latest build. But its MAME XT.

Anyway, i guess the problem is those roms being out of date.

my MAME isn't certainly up-to-date. But with new versions not supporting highscore.dat, i have no choice.

MAME - FAQ

Hi everyone. I just d/l some arcade roms from a website (i suppose i can't post it here). The problem is that my MAME plus 0.125 XT doesn't recognise most of them when i audit. Is there any way to correct the roms, or force MAME to recognize them?

i always use a simple thrustmaster firestorm (the one without analog sticks). It's comfortable, resistant and cheap.

Homelands is one of my favorite sets (with alliances and tempest). Sure it ain't got any power cards, but the artwork and flavor texts give the cards a very special feel.

Just want to add that there's not enough Amiga in RG. Besides the spectrum is the only retro machine i'm interested in, and making of features of its games are very few and far between.
