Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Deadstorm Pirates on the PS3 was a blast to play. Some of the worst voice acting this side of HOTD2 (which means its excellent). I hope the port/remake of HOTD1 turns out good, would be nice having something better than the Saturn port to play. It’s funny how HOTD1 which a lot of people consider th...

Re: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch game recommendations

Having recently upgraded my phone (on account of the last one basically dying, between the battery and the hardware being pretty out of date) so I made sure I got a IOS13 compatible phone so I could give the arcade a shot. Seems really nice so far, great range of games and the price is just right. I...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Pre-ordered the Yakuza Remaster Collection on PS4...then realised that it won't be released until Feb 2020 lol Still, it looks like a sweet pack. The physical PS3 game case for Yakuza 5 is a nice touch and a nod to the fact that many were disappointed with the original Yakuza 5 being digital-only. ...

Re: Favourite Resident Evil?

Clearly its this version of RE2: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48636395962_f28debd614_z.jpg (the pretty bad Gamecom port of RE2. Ambitious, but no less bad) Its impossible for me to pick a favourite, as I love RE1 (REmake), RE2 (both original and REmake) and RE4 in pretty much equal measures.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

This next couple of weeks is looking nice for Switch releases for me - Zelda LA is this week (love the GB versions so this is a no brainer) and Ori & Blind Forest soon after, so unless that's a bad port (not likely) I'll grab that as well. While I wait, I have the Mana collection to keep me company ...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

151 hours later, I finally 100%ed the Yakuza 5 remaster on the PS4. Enjoyed almost every minute of it, and thankfully outside of the arena there was no grinding to be seen, just lots and lots of different things to take care of. Loved it, but now time to take a break from the series until 7 is relea...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Its already confirmed that the new characters after challenger 5 is independent of the first season pass. As for characters to add... for third party reps: Chun Li - Because if any other SF character gets in, its gotta be her (should have been included above Ken but watcha gonna do). Lara Croft - as...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I thought it was a great Direct. Some really nice ports coming to Switch, some cool new games announce. Money will leave my wallet! The Terry reveal finally got me to buy the Smash Fighter pass, to be fair I'd be meaning to do it for a while, but had been working on other games, I'll finally get bac...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Been playing a nice amount of Ninja Warriors on Switch. Looks great in ultra widescreen mode like in the arcade original. I see the remaster of the sequel has also now been released, will pick that up asap :) This week aside from playing loads of Doom (timeless) I've also completed Tiny Barbarian. I...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Also, unrelated to Capcom, I grabbed Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 on the PS4 as the games were surprise announced this week for English releases. 3 is out now, 4 and 5 are out in a few months time. Not played much of the new localisation of 3 yet, but what I've seen is way better than the PS3 version. Wow, di...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Picked up the Arcade Edition of Street Fighter V so have been trying to get back into it after leaving the original version alone for ages. Still leaving me bit cold to be honest and I don't know why. It plays great and the characters look sweet but I don't get the buzz that I do with the likes of ...

Re: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Leaked

While my biased opinion is somewhat... biased, these are worth a try if you like 2D action games. The ZX games are just ok (metroidvania stuff needed way more refining), but the four Zero games are top tier MM games, pretty much the best games in the series. And new difficulty options, whicch is goo...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Treated myself to a couple of Switch FPS games this week. Even though it has some issues - Doom (1) is still a blast to play. If they manage to patch the audio so its correct that would be nice, but I've been really enjoying the game anyway, definitely one of those timeless games that I can seemingl...

Re: What are you currently playing?

95+ hours into Yakuza 5 on the PS4 (by way of the Japanese remaster). 67% completion rate, onto the final couple of chapters of the story, then its time to tackle the remaining side content. One of my favourite games ever, especially after 3 playthroughs when the story finally makes sense.
