With a few friends, we did XboX link to play Project Gotham on two separate TVs. The main issue was getting the two TVs, as we only had heavy, bulky CRT and no flatscreens.
Anyway it was worth the effort.

I subscribe because: 1) I live in Italy and can't have the magazine otherwise (although last year there was an attempt to make an italian version of retrogamer; I'd have bought both. Too bad it didn't work) 2) I don't want to miss a single issue 3) it's cheaper than have my cousin buy it and send it...

Oh! Was it Night Driver? Not crappy at all. Nice Atari 2600 conversion also.
IMHO, of course.

Ah, some more precise information about AUTOMAN. The arcade machines appear in episode n.3. At least in the Italian dubbing, one of Automan's best friends is Zaxxon. Here is a series of images with a few cabinets: http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/qq194/Chinnico/automan1.jpg http://i447.photobucket...

There was an old (1982) US tv series named 'The Phoenix'. I remember in one episode the main character was playing... well... Phoenix! (the arcade machine). Also, I clearly remember the guys from Dawn of the Dead, entrenched in the mall, playing a few different arcade games. I can't tell which they ...

Exerion is a fantastic and challenging shooter. Its slow pace deceivingly lets you think that you can easily achieve hyper-scores. Then you swear at your sluggish ship that is unable do dodge even the slowest shot. After you manage getting along with that, you start swearing at those damn enemies, w...

I mostly collect, due to a sheer lack of time to play.
Still, I try to play as many games (both old and new) as I can, since it's my favourite hobby. Unfortunately, in my case 'as many' means 'quite few'.

Lol! I always thought that the true title was Roller Ball, since I actually HAD that game on the C64. It was a pirate copy, though. Looking on Gamebase 64, it seems that there was an exclusive pirate Italian release that changed the name from Rocket Ball to Roller Ball. http://www.gb64.com/game.php?...
