Re: Health Packs ++

Slightly off track, but this topic about health packs and health bars kicked a trigger in my mind. Another thing that I found always utterly unrealistic, related to the healing of wounds, was in RPG, either turn based or realtime: the fact that you could spend literally MONTHS camping/sleeping/resti...

Re: REPLAY 2011 photos and videos links...

I didn't take many pictures this year unfortunately. http://s447.photobucket.com/albums/qq194/Chinnico/2011%2011%2005%20Replay/ On the other hand, I uploaded on youtube the videos I took at the saturday's aftershow: Part 1 of 11 http://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: James Pond: Underwater Agent or Robocod?

In my opinion, although Robocod displayed a much larger showcase of visual and sound effects, it grew a little bit larger than required, giving the more limited, although more focused, JP: Underwater Agent the upper hand on the enjoyability side. Playing Robocod there were no real urge or pressure; ...

Re: Games featuring......will you please shut up

In Dragon's Lair II: Timewarp, at the end of the first level, Dirk's mother in law hits with a rolling pin the giant-scottish-clothes-wearing snake (who is hissing "thiiief!") and says: "Oh! Shut up!"

Re: Games featuring....Clowns.

Annoying exploding clown-on-a-monocycle in Serious Sam II.

Is it only my impression or it seems that clowns are too often connected with explosives?

Re: games with ducks

A duck named Buck once got out of luck.
He slipped on a puck and fell over muck.
His girlfriend said: "yuck! I told you to tuck
some soap in your rucksack and now WTF!
I mean it: YOU SUCK!"

Re: Joust

It's joust too good! For me, it's always been a kind of holy grail in the arcade, because it was so rare finding one. When I had my beloved Colecovision, I was drooling over a game with similar mechanics but more of an adventure plot: Imagic's Wing War. It was me wanting Wing War against m...

Re: games with ducks

One of the trickiest puzzles in The Longest Journey involved an inflatable rubber duck, I recall.

But the real question is: how much wood wold a wood duck duck if a wood duck could duck wood?

Re: Dungeon Master-like games

yo! lorenzo! how goes man? Hi JD! I am quite fine thanks. The weather is so hot that there's no need to remind me we are still in summer. Because of that I seriously started thinking of giving up research and open a Gelateria in Tokyo. What do you think? Don't worry, I'd also make ice cream from so...

Re: gamestop removes free deus ex coupons

Ye buying a "new" game that's already been opened it just criminal imo I totally agree. I don't bother much about the fact that if I bought DE:HR I could use the OnLive service or not. But having MY new copy messed up by someone else (even if they had only removed a worthless ad leaflet), that woul...

Dungeon Master-like games

Hi, a friend of mine, who bought an Amiga just to play Dungeon Master, told me about a game project called Legend of Grimrock ( http://www.grimrock.net/ ). Has anyone already heard of it? I can't find any citation on the forum, hence there I go with this post. It appears to be the evolution of a 10 ...

There's one too in the sewers of "Deja Vu: a nightmare come true". It has to be an infestation!
