Re: Official Feedback Issue 85

Where can I get a copy of Flumpotron? It sounds great! My latest issue arrived yesterday, and although I'm not too bothered about all the Mana stuff, the Where Time Stood Still and Lemmings articles more than made up for it. Glad you enjoyed them. And Ally's agreed to speak to us about The Great Es...

Re: Retro Gamer 84 Official Feedback Thread: The Christmas I

Re: The Uncoverted Wasn't Off the Wall ported to the Atari 2600: http://www.atariage.com/box_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=330 ?? Or does this just happen to be a breakout/pong type game with the same name? (I don't know the arcade version) There are actually two arcade games titled Off The Wall - one ...

Re: ISSUE 82 - Official Feedback Thread

I have a question.... Issue 82 pg35 there is talk about how bad Hotel Mario is on the CD-i, now then if you cast your mind back to pg178 of the Videogames Hardware Handbook there is praise about how good the game is. What gives? Different writer maybe? That's exactly it, I wrote the Mario feature a...

Re: Retro Debate - Fundraising ideas

The Super Mario Cart blind drunk gaming challenge! RULES: Players buy a ticket to enter for which they receive 6 cans of strong beer. A judge allows them just 10 minutes to drink said beer (failure to do so means an automatic disqualification) before letting them go head to head with a sober SMC sp...

Retro Debate - Fundraising ideas

Just a quick thread for the retro debate this month - admittedly a bit of a strange one. We would like to hear your ideas for bizarre gaming-related acts of madness to help raise money for charity. The crazier the better.

Oh, and once again Mr. Hunt has done a Retro Revival of a game I'd already done a Retrobate thing of, cheers  We obviously just have similar taste in games ;) I was actually moved to write about the game after reading this thread here: http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23879&...

Re: James Bond: The Living Daylights arcade game?

Here's what Arcade Database have on Arcadia Systems: http://www.arcade-history.com/index.php?page=database&editeur=35 Sidewinder, Road Wars and Xenon are listed, but no mention of The Living Daylights. I also discovered that Arcadia was a subsidiary of Mastertronic, and the company was still produci...

Re: James Bond: The Living Daylights arcade game?

Cheers for the comments guys. The trialled/unreleased hybrid Amiga coin-ops that Xyphoe mentions sounds interesting - I might do some digging around and see what I find; there could even be another feature in it.

James Bond: The Living Daylights arcade game?

On the game box it mentions that the game was 'closely based on an arcade game by Arcadia' (presumably Arcadia Systems), but I haven't been able to find any evidence of a Living Daylights coin-op being released on KLOV, Arcade Database, or anywhere on the web. Just wondered if anyone could shed some...

Re: Collectors Needed

the rarest game I have is Zelda's Adventure but I think that's already been done. Others would be Megaman Wily Wars, Alien Soldier, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Sin and Punishment - I doubt they are rare enough though are they? (checks ebay) oh, I see Wily Wars has become a bit of a gem. Well, I do have on...

Re: Issue 80 feedback

I'm half way through the Excite Bike article, and I was surprised it said it's considered to be the first editor ever in a game. There were loads of games before it with editors (20 or so when I checked), and even if it meant a "track" editor on a motor racing game, then Rally Speedway beat it (and...
