Re: Who's excited about Shenmue III?

Found out about this morning through my mad online shenmue group. Waited for the girlfriend to leave then immediately spent all the holiday budget on it. Guilin 1986 is the only destination I'm interested in now :) - completely over the moon and so happy for shenmue 500k , shenmue dojo and everyone ...

Re: nes/famicom

the famicom is better for sure... twin famicoms and famicom AVs give better picture quality and are in 60hz...., all toaster Nes models are just unreliable and the pal units are just a waste of time now because pal... as far as i know all nes games will work in 60hz on a famicom with an adapter also...

Re: Happy International Amiga Day.

Was there anyway around that annoying one button controller thing? I always liked the idea of amiga games with a megadrive pad but found the press up to jump thing really took away from the experience and I ain't using no keyboard or mouse to play action games :)

Re: Mega Drive problem

If the membranes are gone you can buy replacement ones on eBay or just buy a 6 button pad, they're much better :)

Re: Mega Drive problem

Take the pads apart, check if the rubber membranes under the buttons are okay. If they are it's usually just a case of cleaning the gunk that has built up over the years off the circuit board so the membrane can make contact with the board. I'd say 80% of "broken" controllers - actually just need cl...

Can anyone recommend a reliable HD for PS3?

The replacement terabyte drive I bought for my ps3 seems to be performing worse and worse as time goes on, it's constantly stuttering during games and even in the menu. Can anyone recommend a decent reliable brand of ps3 hard drive that they themselves have used? - thanks :)

Thanks guys, from reading around apparently the lock only stops US pads on a PAl console. Weird.

Snes/super famicom pad region lock?

I remember hearing that pal snes pads wont work with ntsc systems and vice versa, does anyone know if using a 4 player adaptor defeats this stupid lockout or would i need the correct pad for each region? - apparently some later models didnt have this lockout at all. - thanks if anyone knows :) - oh ...

Help me name an 80s arcade game

Hi everyone. I was too young to remember much about it but I remember playing (or largely watching the demo and thinking I was playing) an arcade game in my local chippie. I don't recall much about it other then it may have been two player and the enemies and good guys both fired arrows? It scrolled...
