It's got nothing whatsoever to do with their historic significance or importance, or Pong would be the best game ever.
Pong is one of the best games ever.

It must be...

Since they keep re-making it over and over again and calling it different names like Smash TV and Geometry Wars.

Funny thing is every time they do, the new games are super hot.

I wonder what they'll call it the next time they release it?

Vampire on the SMS!

I just had a chance to play Vampire on the Sega Master System for the first time. At least I could have sworn I never played it before. Oh wait no, I think I did play it once before, but the guy in it had a whip and looked a lot more like a barbarian. Didn't anyone notice that this game blatantly ju...

Music Better in the Home Version...

I haven't played Commando since it was out in Arcades back in the day. I was very surprised to play it again recently and realize that I was so used to the awesome music from the C64 version that the arcade game really had only mediocre music.

What are some other cases of those happening?

LOL. Fair enough, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I still hold that Sonic was the best pack in for any system. Though to be fair, getting the deluxe GP2X that came packrd with 4 games was pretty sweet. Vektar and Supertux are more than worth it. :D -Ray i'd have to disagree there. the graphic...

BEST CONVERSION: Gyruss on the C64. Next... I'll stick with Ocean's version of Donkey Kong on the C64. Yes, it isn't as graphically nice as Atari's (c64) version, and certainly not as accurate as the NES version, but it has one thing that VERY few home versions had... All 4 levels. I'll also say the...

Adventure Island and Wonderboy...What's the Deal?

I've wondered about this for years...

Why are these two titles effectively the same game? How come there weren't major lawsuits flying back and forth? Or were there?

What's the deal?

Re: Fed up with Modern Gaming

Yup, except for a few games on my PSP (largely retro-remakes) I've given it up almost entirely. I'm totally about Retro gaming. In fact, I don't consider my hobby gaming. I consider it a serious interest in the history of video and computer games. I read as much retrogaming stuff as I do playing. So...
