FS: Korean PS2 (SCPH-50005/N) NTSC & 220V w/ Modchip

I have for sale an NTSC Korean PS2, model SCPH-50005/N, the Network Adapter bundle edition. It comes equipped with a Matrix Infinity mod chip (1.93), an official Sony 8mb memory card, Sony composite and power cables, the official Sony Korean network adapter, and the horizontal stand. The unit is 220...

Re: Why do you buy Retro Gamer?

When I first saw load 25 I was drawn in. I didn't realize it at the time but Retro Gamer spoke to my interests and did something I hadn't seen in other magazines - priority in writing articles on older generation games. At first I was selective in what I decided to read wherein each successive issue...

We kind of cheat with the Future Classics, in that many of them are already regarded as classics :P Someone mentioned we should point our necks out a bit by not going for safe options, which is why we've started included brand new games occasionally. I was a little surprised when I most recently sa...

I think coverage of the Dreamcast/PS2/GameCube/Xbox era of games (not limited to home systems but looking to PC and handhelds as well) is suitable given it's at least 10 years old and more. I think a good example is looking back at Load 19 - it featured articles on Super Metroid (then 11+ years old)...

I'd like to see and potentially contribute towards a couple articles. A 6 or so page spread The Making Of "Transport Tycoon" with points on TT Deluxe as well. And to compliment that perhaps an In The Chair With... Chris Sawyer, the man behind TT, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and more. Either that or a Dese...

It's a good device if you can find one for a reasonable enough price. Generally speaking the hardware is often cheap while the boot disc commands more capital as the hardware is non-functional without it. My issue is that I'd rather just play any given Game Boy/GBC/GBA game on a GBA rather than play...

I'm in Canada and this exclusive to me since my mailbox isn't large, but my magazines get folded vertically when put into the box. Usually though this isn't a huge deal since the fold goes away shortly thereafter. Otherwise, I've been a subscriber since load 40 and I've never had a wrecked copy.

May I suggest you check out: GTA (Game Boy Color) GTA 2 (Game Boy Color) GTA Advance (Game Boy Advance) GTA: Chinatown Wars (DS) GTA: Chinatown Wars (PSP) GTA Advance doesn't look too appealing but I'll give it a look. Chinatown Wars is in similar perspective but doesn't feel the same at all and is...

If I could sum up my feelings of the Grand Theft Auto series it would this - sequels are created for a reason. Yes, the answer is for profit but that profit exists since the precursor or initial game sets the bar for all games to follow. The result is exponential as demonstrated by each core title s...

I think to some degree it's ebay or bust. It's a pretty uncommon game these days so my advice is be patient and perhaps you'll find a copy for a price you're willing to pay. If you had the ability to play imports the Japanese version is much cheaper I've found and is only slightly different (TATE / ...

It was a good idea to check this thread out since it's a good reminder to check all the sales. As such I think I'm going to sell my original copy of Painkiller and pick-up the Painkiller complete pack for $4.99. Should be good.

Currently working on my first clear of Skullmonkeys on PlayStation. It's terrific game and if it has any weakness it's that the developers did not offer a save file function opting instead with (albeit quick and easy to use) passwords. Stranger still is that the Japanese version (Klaymen Klaymen 2) ...

Looks like a nice addition to the Turrican line. I may consider picking up a copy once it's been distributed broadly (ie, Play-Asia).

There's no competition: it's GoldenEye Source by a mile. All you need is the Source engine and you're golden . This is easy enough to do since there are free offers for Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, HL2 Lost Coast, & Portal First Slice via the video card developers: Nvidia & Ati . Not to mention Team Fort...

I was never into point and click adventure games when I first got my own personal computer in the mid-1990s, it's hard to say at all what I was interested beyond Sim City 2000 as that's all I knew. It wasn't until I decided to get Escape from Monkey Island for PS2 in 2002 that I began to have intere...
