Re: Combat school

Got the Amstrad version, liked it even though its a joystick waggler. Also called Boot Camp I think in some places.

Play it on emulator at 50% speed to make it easier to play on the keyboard.

Re: Cartoon pic "Kinect & Move"

C=Style Move`s wand with coloured ball stuck on top just looks awful but the Wii seems to have made it ok to wave your arms around in front of your tv - don`t see that transition happening on PS3/360 anytime soon. Sscott Yeah, around £130 for Kinect and has you say most games will be casual party ty...

Do you think gamers will even try out "no controller" games or will they just disregard them outright?

Re: Shank XBLA

Shank & Pilgram are modern games in Retro clothing, they seem to be good at first then you discover there is no gameplay. GFX Shank has that Cel-Shaded Flash game style that developers think is retro(it just feels flat & bland), Pilgram tries to emulate the Nes with large pixels but constantly throu...

Re: Video Game Violence tv show

just watched your screenshots may vary one. Pity the Lulu prices are so extortionate as I would have loved a copy of that. Yep, price is really high. £49.99 for the full edition, theres a "Best Of" version for £13.99 that includes 60 games taken from the full edition. Working on a £7.99 version, wi...

Re: Video Game Violence tv show

Bomberman was in there I think for the explosions & its name includes "Bomb", back in 95 just about all games were deemed nasty by politicians.

Found the video tape in a big box of Amiga games, game of street fighter 1 anyone? :)

Re: From the Forum question for issue 81

Has to be the first Shinobi I played - the Amstrad version. For only 8-bit`s it has full scrolling levels with multi platforms to jump between and attacks such has the default shuriken, closeup kicks & space bar for magic. The music also added greatly to the atmosphere though the first boss with his...

Drop lets play / ebay / retro shamer. Full page for collectors corner. End game / Boss Rush updated - drop the humour from both and give more in depth detail of the endings & bosses. Game related adverts only - if possible only include adverts which are game related eg. latest game releases etc. Exp...

Re: Issue 80 feedback

I enjoyed the larger retro booty I have to say. doing a themed extra couple of pages every now and then is fine with me (except I end up spending money on the stuff.... :( ) judging from the forum, a lot of people seem interested in Retro themed books - maybe they could be rounded up at some time? ...
